Juliana makes a bad first impression, but it grows on you. Booked single room with ensuite for 4 nights (free airport pick-up) but when arrived, only had shared bathroom available (was in email contact 3 hours before arrival, but they didn’t forewarn me). Avoid shared bathroom (with plastic accordion door) at all costs! It’s tiny so when you shower, there... more

the rooms are very clean..some with private bathroom.. the staff are also really nice, speak good english. location was okay, not very hard to get taxi, 10 minutes walking to egyptian museum. the room feels just like home. the breakfast was standard.... very cheap for the facilities.. there is a tv in the room, cable tv.. better than what you... more

I chose the Juliana Hotel based on the TripAdvisor reviews, and I'd say that it did live up to the positive reveiws that it received. Hany, who owns the place, is kind and helpful, and speaks easy to follow English. His staff is not as multilingual, but are very plesant as well. I always book based on the best mix... more

Although we made a reservation for a double room with ensuite upon arrival all rooms were fully booked and the only available 'room' was a small cupboard. An extra room which they build in the former breakfast area, so no window, very small, no fresh air and no bathroom. Bit disappointing and no where to go as it was already... more

FANTASTIC stay at Juliana!! It was our first time to Egypt and Hany made our trip so easy, booking practically EVERYTHING for us -- from airport pickup/dropoff, transport to Dahab, pyramid & Islamic Cairo tours to sleeper train tickets from Luxor, train station pickup and a day trip to Alexandria. I've never had such awesome service for such low prices!... more

of everything. A short 15 le (3.us) ride to khan el khalil bazaar. Arabic schools in walking distance. Near embassies so security is tight. You can walk around any hour of the day or night and know you are safe. The staff is helpful, friendly, English-speaking....couldn't ask for more. Rooms are spacious and clean. Laundry, kitchen, and stove on site.... more

This is a budget, clean, quiet located hostel in Garden City away from the honking of traffic. The staff are friendly, pleasant and helpful from Hani the owner, his brother, David to Kareem and housekeeper. They have just renovated some rooms adding private showers(late August). The best rooms are 16 or 18, both Twin En suite. The beds have a thick... more

The best hostel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Everyone that works here is incredibly nice and are actually friendly, not just the fake friendly you get from so many people that want your money, that really make this place worth visiting Cairo. Excellent location, comfortable accommodation (feels like home), perfect location (next to top tourist sites),... more

I stayed here for one month (studying Arabic at the nearby Arab Academy), and I could not have been happier with my experience! I was in a comfortable ensuite room that included cable tv. The staff is friendly and responsive to the needs of guests. For example, Hany took care of my laundry when the housekeeper had already left for... more
