My original hostel had no working electricity (electricity in Cairo goes out for about an hour a few times a day, so this is normal and one could deal with this) and no running water because there was a problem with the building. I met Ahmed at the front... More

Perfect hostel if your looking for a relaxed atmosphere. You will meet social and helpful staff, live at a central location and sleep in good beds. The Hostel has clean rooms and a cosy hang-out area where you can chill and use Wi-Fi. Walking distance from Tahir square, the Egyptian museum, Nile River, Cafes and amazing night and day markets.... Located in down town, but so quiet :) The rooms are not de Lux but simple and clean. Breakfast was served , of course :) What I think "good" in the hostel is, "stuff". Stuffs are face of hostel,... A good location and a small but nice common area. The room I stayed in was alright, nothing special but it was cheap so understandable. Make sure you bring your own toilet paper and there was nearly none ever supplied. Saying that, that is a lesson in general for Egypt. Bring your own because nobody else will provide it. I'd... More

Bring your own toilet tissue. Free breakfast is advertised on the website but never ever served. Day shift manager is glued to video games and TV. Night shift remains sound asleep on lounge sofa. Lounge's video games or Egyptian disco or Arabic TV or all simultaneously audible 24/7 on other side of bedroom wall. Allah help you when the footie's... More

The location was pretty good. the staff was good...but this placve has NOTHING to do with AUSTRALIA... they claim that the owner is in Australia, but the owner is Ahmed. Also they should take care as not every one tells them they can speak Arabic. Some of the things they were saying was not polite at all. The beds are... More
