Stayed 4 nights during X'mas. Convinient with airport shuttle bus stop right in front of the Hotel. Subway station is only 5-min walk and is the intersection points of three subway lines. Many shopping malls and restautants nearby with only 10-min walk. Concierge is polite and check in/out is fast. Staff are helpful with cheerful smiling. Hotel room is generally... More

Stayed here in Dec 2105 for 5 nights as a family of 6. We took one Quadruple room and one twin room. They were of good size and heating in the room was good. We stayed on the 8th floor where the laundry room is - coin operated laundry machines were very reasonably priced (1000won for a wash and 1500... More

Stayed here for two weeks on business. The staff were in helpful and not really willing to help. The rooms are basic but at least they are clean, great shower, aircon and good wifi connection. Quite nice having own kitchenette although very low level of utensils! Nothing special but just what is needed.

great stay at Western Co-op Residence! I was surprised actually because i booked this through an AirBnB host. The apartment is thoroughly clean, comes with free wifi and there are a couple of late night supper places nearby (TwoTwo Chicken) and convenience store right downstairs. The walk to the subway is 5 mins, and then to Doosan Tower,APM & other... More

2 subway stations in it's vicinity which is probably around 10 mins walk from the hotel. The rooms are very basic and minimal but clean. Having a mini kitchen is a plus especially for a budget traveler. Most convenient to get to/from the airport as the airport bus stop is just in front of the hotel.

The major problem I had was that they do not provide necessary cookware or cooking equipment. Otherwise perfectly adequate and a good value. The staff are helpful although they have minimal English. Most of my issues were quickly resolved except for the cooking paraphernalia.

I've been to Seoul 3times now (2012/2013/2015) and all 3times I stayed here, the hotel is about 5-10 mins walk down a straight road to Dongdaemun History & Culture station. From Incheon or Gimpo airport you can take the airport bus 6001 (costs 14500Won p/p when I traveled not sure if this has increased!) If your main purpose as mention... More

Staying in Dongdaemun / Sindangdong

Neighborhood Profile
Dongdaemun / Sindangdong
For shopping enthusiasts, Dongdaemun is a must visit. Enormous shopping centers – stacked with multiple levels of boutique and independent shops – offer the latest in Korean fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and other goods while prices are relatively low. The night shopping (between late night and early morning) is particularly well known here, making Dongdaemun a place where you can literally shop until you drop. If fashion isn't what you’re looking for, the long-running wholesale markets nearby sell everything from cloth to utensils at lower prices. The rows of food stalls that set up at night ensure shoppers get refueled, and foodies will enjoy checking out nearby Sindang-dong’s Tteokbokki Town as well as some non-Korean offerings from the Central Asian Village near Dongdaemun.
