Stayed at this hotel during Christmas. Picked this hotel coz of its location, room size, and in-room kitchen. Pros Location: to and from airport- there is an airport shuttle bus which stops right in front of hotel. If you are carrying bulky items, taking the bus is the deal solution. shopping and going around- around 8min walk to metro and... More

I was travel with my parents and some of their friends in March 2015, and we all found this hotel very convenience, just 7 mins walk to the nearest metro station "Dongdeamun History and Culture Park". Rooms were spacious and with a small kitchen inside, they can do some cooking after shopping. The airport bus comes just in front of... More

Stayed at this hotel during Winter Dec 2014, its location is accessible to all Dongdaemun's shopping malls nearby, with a short walk to Dongdaemun's museum and cultural station.. To get around Seoul is efficient with the subway nearby.. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with 1 double and 2 single beds. The room is not very spacious once we... More

Seoul is a very expensive city for travelers unless you know what you’re doing. The Western Co-op is a modern hotel with a blend of western modern and traditional facilities. It’s set up as a business hotel. Rooms are clean and simply but well-furnished and it’s possible to do a little self-catering. Many of the rooms has an undercounter fridge,... More

First impression if OK with clean rooms and amenities. Floor heating is available since its almost winter and room comes with a small kitchenette, suitable for indoor cooking. Location is great since its about 10 minutes walking to Dongdaemun shopping areas and malls. They are open until 2am to 4pm depending on stores. Food joints are abundant for every taste... More

We stayed in late july for 6 nights. It was my first time to Korea and I did not now much about where to stay or what districts are good. I followed my friend's recommendation since they have been to korea quite few times. Location - it's located in Dongdaemun. (close enough) It's convenience to catch public transportation or taxi... Staying in Dongdaemun / Sindangdong

Neighborhood Profile
Dongdaemun / Sindangdong
For shopping enthusiasts, Dongdaemun is a must visit. Enormous shopping centers – stacked with multiple levels of boutique and independent shops – offer the latest in Korean fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and other goods while prices are relatively low. The night shopping (between late night and early morning) is particularly well known here, making Dongdaemun a place where you can literally shop until you drop. If fashion isn't what you’re looking for, the long-running wholesale markets nearby sell everything from cloth to utensils at lower prices. The rows of food stalls that set up at night ensure shoppers get refueled, and foodies will enjoy checking out nearby Sindang-dong’s Tteokbokki Town as well as some non-Korean offerings from the Central Asian Village near Dongdaemun.
