I had the misofortune to stay here 6 months before, and now again. As we have an office here, we have negotiated a corporate rate of USD100.- per night. This represents a reasonable value, in comparison to the majors in town such as Hyatt (300.- per night) The rooms and facilities have a 70's character, and the decor matches. The... more

My general impression of this hotel is that it was too old. The room was small with minimal facilities. Furniture were old and seemed that they were designed for children. The door key was hard to use and they only provided you with one key even though we have two persons staying in the same room. more

Stayed at this hotel with 32 other people in our tour group. Front desk staff speak very limited English. The Bell Boy spoke very good English and was a great help to us during our stay. Rooms are antiquated, furniture looks like it is from 1930's. Bathroom tub did not drain adequately. Very good breakfast buffet. Also have bakery goods... more

I had read other reviews about Capital Hotel but decided to stay there anyway due to location (near but not in the Itaewon area, near the US Army Base at Yongsan). I got a rate of US$140 per night, including all taxes and service charges. On that basis, I think the Capital Hotel was a very good deal for this... more

Customer made the booking/suggestion and I agreed but I was hesitant as this hotel did not have good reviews and again, they were right. As I had not been here for 12 yrs I went with the customer booking (my problem). So the furniture was a very strange, ornate, 70's type of Koreanness; almond bath counter and just dated. NO... more

The staff in this hotel is incredibly rude. This hotel is not worth your money. This hotel is will charge 5 bucks for water and 20 bucks to use their shampoo. When I checked out of the hotel, it was raining very hard...they wouldn't even give me an umbrella without a fuss! The rooms remind me of a 1960s love... more

The furniture looks too antique. It's okay if you're a collector of dollhouse furniture. They need to remodel the entire hotel and maybe spray for bugs too, I had to squash a Centipede I found in my room! I should have taken it to the front desk and demanded a refund. This hotel is just not worth the price it... more

I stayed at this hotel with a group of teenagers. The management said they had never had a group and did not really want to accommodate us. But they did and were very nice. It is not within close walking distance of affordable meals. There was a quirk with the keys (which you had to have in order to have... more

Capital hotel is definitely not worth the price! The hotel has a 5 star rating according to some pamphlets in Seoul, but I would give it a 2. The rooms are quite small and are decorated with furniture that looks like kitch from the Victorian Era. Much of the furniture was chipped or the paint was coming off. It also... more
