The hotel is in the all too famous Gagnam area, and close of COEX. PRO: - very good connection with the city as the subway station is a 2 minutes walk - also the hotel is covered by one of the shuttles to/from the airport - breakfast was comprehensive, with local and continental choices - staff was helpful CON: -... Very poor facilities. The room was old and needed renovation. Tye noice isolation was terrible. You could here almost everything from next door especially when the kids were screamming. The hotel was way too far from most of tourist attractions. It took almost an hour everyday to go from the hotel to famoust sites in seoul. May be good for... More

The Internet connection is really very poor. The menu in the main hotel restaurant is very limited. I got my bill while I was still eating my main course. The staff in the dining room does not speak much English. The microwaved bread rolls were like rubber. Way over priced for the poor quality. The room temp stays at 24C... More

This hotel was built in the early 90's and it shows. In desperate need of a reno. Room had stained and marked wallpaper. Housekeeping failed to replenish basic bathroom amenities. Only one English speaking channel on TV ( in an 'international business hotel'). Gym well equipped but slippy wooden floor and not once did I see a member of staff... More

Better than the average Ramada. Professional service, clean and in very convenient location, close to Gangnam area and walking distance to Coex and City Airport terminal. Breakfast is a little expensive but there are many coffee shops alternatives nearby. Good for business stopover.

This hotel is good, but not excellent. What is good: - great situation in the city - very presentative look outside - breakfast is top quality - rooms are big What I would suggest to change: - the room interior is old and visibly used, could be necessary some restyling works - wifi has some issues, it is not strong... The hotel, as the title said, has a good location, a few step from a metro station and a 15min walk to Coex, where you can find the Intercontinental Hotel, many restaurants and stores as well as a very good convention center. I did not like the hotel, looking dirty and bad smelling. The fitness center is dark but you... More

We stayed here for 8 nights while at a meeting at COEX. Good location if there for business in that area, but poor location for sightseeing. Breakfast buffet was nice, especially the daily soups which were delicious. But we were a large group and all experienced similar problems. The rooms were dingy. The shower curtain had mold. The housekeeper neglected... More

This hotel is just an average hotel next to the metro station. It was listed as a 4 stars property but I disagree with that rating. It has a small restaurant that serves breakfast for 22k won that was more of a convenience than a pleasure. Beds are rather small and we had some trouble fitting well. Carpets are old... More

Rooms were not bad, location is good, very near to COEX mall, Gangnam business area. The property is old which one may not like and food was below average. Staff was a bit confused about my booking and type of booking which I had made

Staying in Samseongdong / COEX

Neighborhood Profile
Samseongdong / COEX
A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
