I stayed here for a business trip for 4 days. Very friendly and helpful staff with good English. The towels are small so bring your own, but other than that, location is good and you will struggle to find better I value!

Hotels location is real good safe neighborhood. Costumer service is real good, very polite, helpful and good English and Japanese speaking staff. Rooms are clean, big and bed is very comfy. Definitely will come back again. Only reason i cut one star because breakfast needs little more item than just bread, banana and butter/jam.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a week. Staff was very freindly, helpful and good in English. They gave us map of Seoul, sat us down and suggested where and how to go with helpful details. Room was clean and quiet. Many restaurants in walking distance, one min walk to craft beer place, convenience store next door. And also close... More

Pros : *Affordable price. * The bedroom is comfortable and the staffs are very very friendlyyyyy! * Easy to locate the hotel by just follow the direction from their website (but from Anguk Station exit 4, u go to the left, not go straight. We went straight after exit 4, and got lost. lol) *Near the hotel there are lots... More

It was really good hotel for my friend and me. We were there in the autumn. Everything was great! The staff contact us by e-mail about 10 times to answer our questions and send us really good plan how to go to the hotel. It is really near Changgyeonggung Palace (창경궁관리소) and 2 underground stations ("Jongno 3 ga" and "Anguk").... More

The hotel is in a good position to visit Seoul. People in there are very friendly. The room was ok, enough space for one person. Sometimes i had a problem to get the hot water to have a shower but it's not the end of the world. Price and quality good. If i have to go back to Seoul ,... More

The hotel is in a perfect area. Only five minutes walk to Insadong Street, where all the awesome shops and cute places are. Ten minutes walk to subway station. Fifteen minutes walk to Hanok Village and another ten minutes for Chandokgung Palace (if i spelled that right ^_^) So it a perfect little place that easy access to many museums... More

Spent 3 nights here in April with 3 other couples. We all had double rooms that were quiet, clean and cozy. Please note, only hand towels are provided as this is more of a hostel than a hotel, but they will provide as many as you need. There is a dining area with hot water, coffee and internet for those... The hotel is near to most main visiting point such as Gyeong buk Gong - Buk Chon -Insadong, is within walking distance. The hotel is near to subway station but not the main subway, is on the subway line no.3, orange colour. Around the hotel have many restaurants and bars, and the stall inside a tent .

Staying in Gwanghwamun / Jongno

Neighborhood Profile
Gwanghwamun / Jongno
If Gwanghwamun is the unofficial living room of Seoul, Jongno is the main hallway connecting some of Seoul’s most important historic sites and neighborhoods. Being one of Seoul’s oldest neighborhoods, the area is rich with history and culture in its palaces, shrines, and temples. Stand in the center of Gwanghwamun Square with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Mt. Bugak in front of you, King Sejong the Great statue behind you, and modern office buildings encircling you—it’s one of the best ways to experience both past and present Seoul in one spot. The main street of Jongno is mostly dotted with restaurants and cafes, but explore deeper within its intricate alleys to pass decades-old restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and pojangmachas (tents that open at night for quick bites and drinks) and life seems to run just as it did a decade or two ago. Don’t forget to stop at Gwangjang Market, Korea’s oldest traditional market, where it’s just as fun to explore as it is to eat the affordable market dishes that locals have been enjoying since the market first opened in 1905. For a break from urban life, walk along the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs parallel to Jongno for a moment of natural refuge in metropolitan Seoul.
