It's a short walk from Myeongding shopping district and the subway station is just outside the hotel. The location is good as most attractions are only a few stops from the hotel. Tomas Pyun who was at the reception when we checked in selected a very nice room with a good view and it was very spacious. The staff were... More

Location is excellent. Staff of the hotel is very accommodating and pleasant. The hotel made some upgrades since I last stayed in March 2014. Almost everything you want to see or do is within walking distance. Most of the independent sightseeing tour companies can and will pick you up from this hotel for day tours. I would definitely stay here... More

Experiences with staff were all very good. Got a good view of Namsan Tower from level 12. Location is perfect, just 2mins away from myeongdong shopping. 1 min walk from the airport bus transfer. However the style definitely feels vintage to me and with the same price, i would choose a more modern feel hotel. This type of hotel do... More

great location close to N Seoul tower, you can reach cable car station (going to the tower) by taxi 5000 won or just walking 15 minutes (2 km). MRT station is on the front of the hotel and Myeong Dong street market is behind the hotel. McD, starbucks, shops, seven eleven, street food can reach around hotel. Near to folk... More

The Sejong Hotel in Seoul is ideal for tourists on multiple counts. First, location, location, location. You can take a direct KAL limousine - bus number 6015 - from Incheon Airport to the hotel for KRW10,000 per journey. It will send you to the same side of your hotel and you just need to drag your bag a few meters.... More

Stay with my friends for 3 nights. Fair room rate and room (twin room) is spacious. Just short distance (few min. walk) to the Myeongdong shopping area, metro and airport shuttle. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is well situated in a central area, close to the train line and shopping. Staff were friendly and professional. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. I found the price very reasonable.

It was my 2nd time in Sejong hotel in 2 years. Location was as a corner of MyeongDong which makes it easy for us to move around the area. Food outlets everywhere. Within walking distance to Folk Village. It was a bonus we had a view of Namsan both times we stayed there. Rooms were spacious enough though the toilet... More

It is good to know that Myeong-dong street is just a walking distance from this hotel. We could get lots of thing here; foods, fashion, gifts and cosmetics too. We can see Seoul Tower clearly from our hotel room and yes, it is located next to one of the busiest road if i can say so. The food incredibly say... More

Every time i come to seoul i stayed in king sejong mainly because its location.myongdong is always my favourite stop and although this old brand hotel is a bit dated.its location near subways, other attractions is so much convenient.rooms, washrooms, lobby are tidyly kept and room prices are acceptable.if myongdong is your destination.sejong is your stay.

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighborhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighborhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighborhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighborhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
