great location close to N Seoul tower, you can reach cable car station (going to the tower) by taxi 5000 won or just walking 15 minutes (2 km). MRT station is on the front of the hotel and Myeong Dong street market is behind the hotel. McD, starbucks, shops, seven eleven, street food can reach around hotel. Near to folk... More

The Sejong Hotel in Seoul is ideal for tourists on multiple counts. First, location, location, location. You can take a direct KAL limousine - bus number 6015 - from Incheon Airport to the hotel for KRW10,000 per journey. It will send you to the same side of your hotel and you just need to drag your bag a few meters.... More

Stay with my friends for 3 nights. Fair room rate and room (twin room) is spacious. Just short distance (few min. walk) to the Myeongdong shopping area, metro and airport shuttle. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is well situated in a central area, close to the train line and shopping. Staff were friendly and professional. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. I found the price very reasonable.

It was my 2nd time in Sejong hotel in 2 years. Location was as a corner of MyeongDong which makes it easy for us to move around the area. Food outlets everywhere. Within walking distance to Folk Village. It was a bonus we had a view of Namsan both times we stayed there. Rooms were spacious enough though the toilet... More

It is good to know that Myeong-dong street is just a walking distance from this hotel. We could get lots of thing here; foods, fashion, gifts and cosmetics too. We can see Seoul Tower clearly from our hotel room and yes, it is located next to one of the busiest road if i can say so. The food incredibly say... More

I was in charge of leading a group of 20 individuals on a trip to see Seoul and could not believe how amazing and convenient the Sejong hotel was. It is within walking distance to all of the major sites in Seoul including the two main palaces, Insa-dong market, Namdaemun market, and N. Seoul tower. More importantly, the hotel staff... More

The hotel is situated on main road where is around 5 minutes walk to Myeong Dong market. The room is large with full amenities. Also, bathroom too. But there is no balcony(like regular city hotel). Free WIFI is available in a quest room. Breakfast here is okay. You can eat both Western or Korean style food. However, i think the... More

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighborhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighborhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighborhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighborhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
