Stayed here with my mother. Great hotel if you're travelling with a low budget. The hotel is also located in a very good area with restaurants internet shops and convenience stores just outside along the street. it is also located near the subway. Stopped over for a night before transitting out to Guam

A great budget hotel in the heart of Seoul. Insadong is 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Subway station is just a 2 minutes walk . Reception very helpful and room are spacious enough.. A lot of restaurant within walking distance to choose. A subway chain just next to the hotel.

From previous reviews below, you may have guessed that this is a non-frills kind of hotel. You're right: non-frills but, considering the price, it's an excellent choice. Location: superb. In the heart of buzzing Seoul, metro station and bus stop (to all places including Airport) are just outside the building. Shops, restaurants, bars, cafes are just 1 minute walk away.... More

Fantastic location - Subway station just below the building, walking distance to many tourist areas. Room basic, but comfortable. Remember to bring your own toiletries, as it is not provided (but there is a Watsons store just across the street). Main door closes at 11pm, but there is an easy access through the side gate. The reception was very kind... More

The hotel is in a very centralised ideal location, just 3 minutes walk from Jong-Gak subway station. It is within walking distance to Isadong, Hwandeman, a host of palaces in a neigborhood of restaurants, cafes, shops and stalls. Shopping and food are in mutliple choices juststone throw away. The airport bus stop is right across the Y and the stop... More

I just loved this hotel! Close to metro, in the central Seoul, surrounded by shops and cafè and close to Insadong! I had the chance to go back to Seoul and I'm going to rent a room again here.

Ok it's not the Hilton. But for its price and location it was a top hotel. I wouldn't use it to impress someone, but if your in Seoul and need a place to stay that is cheap and central this is the place. It had its own bathroom, it was cleaned everyday, it had a tv and there was free... More

Great place to stay! It's simple, but newly renovated and nice and clean. It's also in a good location, near a subway and with lots of restaurants nearby. You can book directly at the hotel by sending them an email and if you become a YMCA member in your own country you get a discount of 10%.

Staying in Insadong

Neighborhood Profile
Insadong
Nestled between Jongno and Samcheongdong, this small neighborhood offers a crash course in various aspects of Korean culture. Rows of shops display traditional Korean goods such as pottery and earthenware, crafts, fans, and more, making it a popular spot for souvenir shopping. The Ssamziegil shopping complex in particular has become a local institution for its unique spiral layout and the many boutique shops inside that sell handmade crafts and goods. This is the perfect neighborhood to sample a range of Korean dishes, with vegetarian Korean temple cuisine restaurants being a popular draw, but street food carts are just as famous. As a top tourist destination, crowds can swell, particularly on weekends, but you can find some rest and respite in one of the private art galleries or grab a cup of Korean tea in a tea house – many of which are located in beautifully renovated traditional Korean homes.
