The hotel is situated in a quiet, yet commercial area, near a train station, restaurants, and some shopping areas. Vicinity is not as crowded as the busy area of Myeong Dong. Hotel Staff are very nice. Service was good. Room was just the right size, comfortable and clean. Good selection of breakfast items. Has a night club where you can... More

The Hotel Riviera is a fantastic business hotel. It has a great business centre and good wifi. The staff spoke English very well and were helpful in many ways. The rooms where delightfully stocked with essentials and always thoroughly cleaned. The Gym is one of the best I visited in all my travels. Breakfast was excellent, a little bit pricey... More

We found the bed so hard and the room so hot our stay was uncomfortable. The staff resolved the bed issue by providing a bed topper, however despite the room being 29 degrees centigrade we were told the guests air conditioning had been switched off for their own comfort. It seems the hotel thinks guests are unable to switch their... More

When in Seoul, Riviera can be the right hotel for business or for shopping. Located in one of the main street of Seoul is also very close to the mail street for luxury shopping. Good rooms, good service and good breakfast. What else?

Nice welcome from British speaking reception staff but no help with bags to your room which I found surprising. Foyer is grand. Upstairs corridors dingy. Room was a twin, nicely set out but had big issues with the a/c. It did not respond to the temperature set. Room was a constant roasting 26.7'C. Next morning complained to the front desk... More

The hotel itself is nice nothing over the top or luxurious about it but its a good hotel. Lobby is inviting and has a good "gift shop" the on site food choices are decent. the rooms are standard korean style. The beds are stiff like most korean style hotels. All lighting is controlled at the bedside and can be confusing... More

So we stayed at this hotel for 23 days. From 14th of Sept - 7th of Oct. Airport bus stop right outside the hotel, which makes it easy to find. The service was great. The staff could speak english quite well. The rooms was very clean and more then big enough for me and my mother. It was close to... More

I spent a night there for business. It was more luxurious than I really need! Many super luxurious car where parked in front of lobby (amazing for me!) and the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was great with variety of tastes all around the globe! Location is in the heart of Gangnam, great for business! and walking distance to... More

We stayed here for two nights while we were doing some business in Gangnam, and we have nothing negative to say about the experience! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was firm and we had a great couple nights' sleep! The room service breakfast menu wasn't vegan-friendly, but then again, what is? Ovo-lacto-vegetarians should have no problem,... More

Staying in Apgujeong / Cheongdam

Neighborhood Profile
Apgujeong / Cheongdam
Aside from Sinsa / Garosugil, no other area in Seoul connotes the words “luxury” and “fancy” like Apgujeong and Cheongdam. Global luxury brands have set up their flagship stores here, catering to the neighborhood's mostly affluent residents. It’s also one of the top areas in Korea (some say the world) for cosmetic surgery, attracting hundreds of thousands each year for a little nip or tuck. The other parts of Apgujeong and Cheongdam are mostly lavish residential buildings for some of Seoul’s most affluent alongside extravagant restaurants, bars, spas, and other spots for indulgence. And Cheongdam has long been a bastion for flashy clubs and parties, though in recent years, Itaewon has emerged as a strong challenger to those claims.
