Great location above the Coex mall with loads of high-end shops and different places to eat. Easy access to metro to see the city sights. Room was on non-smoking floor but still smelled of stale smoke. The restaurant was overpriced and disappointing. Printing prices in the business centre were ridiculous. Don't use the ATM in the hotel as there is... More

Stayed here now the 2nd time. From checkin to checkout everything was perfect. Staff, service, restaurant, everything was very pleasant. Very good room. Hotel is connected to the Coex center / Shopping wich make the location perfect if you need to visit these.

Checked in after a long journey with specific instructions I did NOT want a smoking room. Level 14 - the smell of stale smoke was overwhelming and so I called Front Desk to do something about it or I would move to the hotel over the road. They then moved me to level 12 where - although there is a... More

The "bad" - yes there was some construction noise during the day. I'm used to it because I live in Asia. Yes - they did not have the wonderful Japanese automatic bottom washers, but there was a bidet. Hotel food prices in Korea are outrageous (not just this hotel). The "okay" - normal IHG toiletries (Agraria). The fitness center is... More

We stayed for four nights on the Club Intercontinental floor. We had booked two junior suites, one of which was upgraded to a Residence Suite. The junior suite was very large and well appointed. The staff, especially in the Club Lounge were all phenomenal. The hotel is connected to the COEX mall and the Hyundai department store, so there are... More

Intercontinental is located on the other side of the river near the gangnam area and next to the metro green line which is very convenient. The hotel itself is wonderful, well maintained with many facilities. The team is superb and are very genuine and very helpful too. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the shower has amazing pressure which... More

There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel which makes the traffic a little more congested at the moment. the staff are great and very attentive. They where able to get me taxi quickly and provided any service they could to make my trip a lot easier. The hotel have a lot of amities especially downstairs when... More

We are an older active couple who like to do their own thing when touring but we do insist on comfort; a good room, a very good bed and pillows, good service and a quiet room. We tossed up between the Grand Intercontinental Parnas and the other the Coex Intercontinental but we believed we made the right choice, The Grand... More

The hotel was nice enough. But then it should be the price of it. The breakfast in particular was extremely overpriced. As are the drinks in the bar - particularly things like coffee and coke. If you are planning on drinking here - I would recommend the happy hour (53,000 won or 46,000 for residents) which is on from 6.30... More

Staying in Samseongdong / COEX

Neighborhood Profile
Samseongdong / COEX
A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
