Had booked a week here before travelling to Seoul but liked it so much we booked another three days after travelling further afield. We booked a one bedroom but were upgraded to a two bedroom on arrival. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The decor in the hallways is a bit tired but reception is bright and rooms themselves fine.... More

Service and cleaning are excelent. But room is very cold athmosphere: no cushions on sofa, frame hanger with nothing at end of cable: you guess that all decoration has been simplified. Same in the breakfast room wich looks like an canteen, although perfectly clean, with a perfect service.

1.location: ***** The nearest subway station is just 5 minutes walk away. And that station has No 1,3,5 lines. So you can go to anywhere in Seoul very easily. Insadong, which is a very famous travelling spot, is really close to the hotel. 2.room: ***** The room is big and spacious with many facilities. Really good value for price, especially... More

When we checked in, they told us our booking of 1 room had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom one. Did not feel excited as unsure what we are going to do for a 3 bedroom one for just my husband and I. The apartment was very basic and "jaded". There were no bedroom slippers, tissue boxes , ironing board... More

I feel both very pleased by having stayed here and at the same time, totally annoyed. The location is absolutely amazing (albeit rather tricky to find the first time of arriving). It's right near everywhere you want to go in Insadong and very convenient to several subway lines. Walk any direction and there are a million choices of food and... More

We stayed at the two-bedroom apartment for 3 nights. This is a good size apartment - well furnished, comfortable. It is quite simple in its interior but functional, clean and comfortable. The biggest plus of this hotel is its location which is walking distance to many of Seoul's cultural sights, walking distance to the shopping streets, restaurants, station. It is... More

I was staying with my family one week in February in Frasier Suites. It was three adults travelling together, so we wanted to have two bedrooms. While I was seeking hotel in Seoul, I found a lot complaints of several issues of Frasier Suites. Someboby was not satisfied of towels in the bathroom, somebody was complaining that personnel doesn’t speak... More

Travelled to Seoul in october 2014 to visit our son who is teaching English in Korea. We had booked a 2 bedroom suite as he was coming up to Seoul for the weekend to meet us. The hotel was short walk from the subway station and easy to find. When we arrived to check in we had been upgraded to... More

The hotel is an excellent choice for longer visits as it allows comfortable self-catering stays with the convenience of some hotel services (room cleaning, concierge). It includes a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Located right next to Insadong Street - a street filled with Korean restaurants, Korean culture and craft shops and filled with local and international tourists alike, and... More

Stayed here for two nights in a 2 bedroom apartment for a business trip. The apartment was clean and well appointed with 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer machine, full kitchen with fridge, microwave and cookery/cutlery. But one of the air conditioning units in one of the bedrooms was not functioning. Aside from that, the location is ideal for access to the tourist... More

Staying in Gwanghwamun / Jongno

Neighborhood Profile
Gwanghwamun / Jongno
If Gwanghwamun is the unofficial living room of Seoul, Jongno is the main hallway connecting some of Seoul’s most important historic sites and neighborhoods. Being one of Seoul’s oldest neighborhoods, the area is rich with history and culture in its palaces, shrines, and temples. Stand in the center of Gwanghwamun Square with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Mt. Bugak in front of you, King Sejong the Great statue behind you, and modern office buildings encircling you—it’s one of the best ways to experience both past and present Seoul in one spot. The main street of Jongno is mostly dotted with restaurants and cafes, but explore deeper within its intricate alleys to pass decades-old restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and pojangmachas (tents that open at night for quick bites and drinks) and life seems to run just as it did a decade or two ago. Don’t forget to stop at Gwangjang Market, Korea’s oldest traditional market, where it’s just as fun to explore as it is to eat the affordable market dishes that locals have been enjoying since the market first opened in 1905. For a break from urban life, walk along the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs parallel to Jongno for a moment of natural refuge in metropolitan Seoul.
