Imperial Palace has a royal ambience - as they are probably aspiring to. The China, silverware, furniture, etc all have an imperial touch. However, the hotel is old, fading and in need of some updates. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is courteous. Breakfast buffet was great too. The room assigned to me was supposed to be non smoking... More

Classy and luxury hotel that I loved. Loads of antiques and art paintings were from England and France in 1800s and early 1990. Gangnam is nearby and I liked sleek restaurants shops around the hotel. Guarantee for the specious bathroom and cosy bed.

임페리얼 펠리스, hotel was one of the most impressing hotels. My aunt works in this hotel as a manager, she was able to help out my family for better stay. We were able to get into massage room, big fancy compliments and other impressive things.

I stay at this hotel every time I travel to Seoul. My compliments once again, as the professionalism, care, and efficiency at this hotel is magnificent. In particular, the new General Manager, Mr. J. Kim, went out of his way to solve a major problem for me. He will succeed well at Imperial Palace. The staff at the front desk,... More

The Imperial Palace Hotel is a long time friend, has been my home for several years during my business trips in Korea. A warm and very elegant hotel, excellent service, very efficient. The kind of place where the staff knows you by name, treating you at the best, letting you always feel at home.

Having never previously exited the airport in S Korea, I was looking forward to finally making it into the city. The Imperial Palace was recommended by work colleagues so I had reasonable expectations - these were easily met. The lobby of the IP has a decandent, luxurious, retro feel with excellent staff on hand to attend to your whims. The... More

Beautifully furnished, wood throughout the entire hotel. My husband and I felt positively spoiled staying there. The service from every staff member was excellent! For the extra upgrade (reasonable) to Club Imperial Level it was worth every penny. Room on 21st floor (upgrade) was slightly on small side - but furnished sumptuously. Definitely worth a revisit!! NOT located in downtown... More

This was my first visit to Korea and I felt very well looked after by Susan Crawford and her team. Lots of questions prior to my visit were answered promptly and fully by Susan who went out of her way to help and was the reason I decided to book this hotel in the first instance. Taking advantage of the... More

Very elegant hotel in the heart of Gangnam. The beds are excellent, very soft. The Japanese style bathrooms are well done. The breakfasts are outstanding. The ambiance is wonderful for a traveler. I always have a great stay. They even have a driving range.

This hotel is right in the heart of Seoul - it is a bit older, but still maintains its elegant touches. Service is impeccable, and the hotel furnishings throughout the lobby, lounges, and restaurants are elegant. Our room was average, a bit dated, and a bit over-priced , but the stay was excellent and the staff were incredibly helpful! Expect... More

Staying in Samseongdong / COEX

Neighborhood Profile
Samseongdong / COEX
A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
