Stayed at the Imperial palace for the 6th time however this time we decided to stay in a Spa Suite. Although the room had no view and was on the third floor it was beautifully furnished and after being in the room for 30 minutes we were totally relaxed. Even the corridor to the room was spectacular, embedded wood, warm... more

I have stayed in many hotels in all of my trips to Seoul and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Imperial Palace on 2 occasions. This hotel is simply outstanding in all areas Joe Sloboda The lobby is simply beautiful, very elegant and the bar is a great place to meet up before heading out for dinner... more

I couldn't really find the 'wow' factor that other members felt about this hotel. It isn't kitsch, it's just clumsy and vulgar in its decoration. However, the staff, service and food levels are all excellent. We were booked into Imperial Palace by our conference hosts only a few days before arriving, and it was a busy period, with Fashion Week... more

'Grand' is a word I'd use to describe the Imperial Palace Hotel. From the moment you first see the imposing building to stepping inside the lobby, the word you're most likely to utter is 'wow'. Ok, like some reviewers have mentioned it is a bit tacky in a sense in that the owners/designers can't quite decide what European style they... more

Overall this is a very good hotel: Public Spaces: Definitely 5 star. The lobby is mind blowing and all of the public spaces in general were wonderful. The fitness center is the best hotel fitness center I have experienced, especially the relaxation saunas with the multiple whirlpools and jacuzzis. Service and Staff: All very friendly. Most speak English well. Susan,... more

What a weekend! My husband and I arrived at the Imperial Palace Hotel, tired, bothered and in quite a foul mood. And I have to say that it's a testament to the hotel's staff that they were even able to put up with me, let alone leave me with an impression of Seoul I will never forget. From the super-swish... more

This was one of the finest and most memorable experiences I've had in ANY hotel, let alone one in Korea. I went there with my partner and now it'll probably be the only hotel we ever go to in Seoul. The service was top-class, the food was exquisite and the room was picture of comfort. I highly recommend it. more

Not really a tourist hotel. It's on the outskirts of Seoul's Gangnam biz district and a lengthy subway ride away from the downtown tourist stuff. While it's better suited as a biz hotel, the five star amenities make it a great oasis for tourists who are familiar with Seoul's wonderful subway system. PRO: A non chain hotel that provides the... more

The look of the hotel can be deceiving. Lobby interior is nice, somewhat elegant, but that's just about it. I asked to be moved to a double bed, I notified them a week before, when the time's come, they simply said not available. Took a deal to wait several days before moving to a bigger room, and yet again got... more
