I have spent three nights in this hotel for my business trip to Seoul. The hotel is located in the hart of Seoul however due to its large premises you have to take a taxi or do a long distance walk if you need to get anything from the city. The executive room is spacious and offers plenty of cabinet... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in November 2011 on business. Hotel is modern and the room was spacious with a great view of Seoul. Bathroom is clean and new, water pressure is fantastic. Rooms did show some very minor signs of aging, I had access to a small lounge on the upper floors that has great finger food in the... More

Was at Shilla hotel with my family last March 26 - 29, 2012 and sad to say, some delegates of the nuclear summit were there. The lobby was chaotic. Everytime the red carpet was placed, we have to wait for a certain VIP to go in or out first. The Hotel should have given other guests another way to enter... More

The hotel is well maintain and centrally located. Heard the Japanese restaurant is one of the best of its kind in Seoul but had made prior arrangement to dine at other places. A tip for shoppers who stay there is to go to the Duty Free shop within 2 mins walk, signed up for a discount card at the basement... More

This place is spectacularly expensive. You expect it in the room prices, since you know that in advance, and I don't like reviews that complain based on price along, but it's just one of those instances where the experience absolutely fell short of the expecations. I kid you not when I say a cup of coffee for breakfast runs over... More

stayed at the Shilla for one night. Really good service from the staff who speaks english well. Fantastic fitness room with and outdoor golfrange attached - never seen that before. Rather expensive restaurants at the hotel ( breakfast 50 usd), but quite good. Downside is location, nothing interesting in the nabourhood, no restaurants at all. More

The way we experience something depends much on our expectations. The Shilla Seoul advertises itself as a top luxury destination. Its marketing materials are peppers with words such as "prestigious", "exclusive", "most luxurious" and "utmost convenience". It raises guests' expectations but delivers efficient yet robotic service. The physical structure is impressive: a tower on a hill, a soaring lobby, well-maintained... More
