The Shilla is one of those few hotels that excel at both the facilities and the service. Great choice for businessmen and families. The only minus is the hotel owns a Duty Free store next door which could be nice but is literally packed with hundreds and hundreds of Chinese from the Mainland shouting and pushing you if you are... I have stayed at The Shilla 3-4 times in the last year, and it is my benchmark for good quality and service. Expression of Korean quality! Everything works well. Arriving from the airport you are greeted with your name when exiting the car, and the check-in is done quickly and smoothly in the room. Rooms are very nice design, and... More

I staid in the hotel for a big business meeting (300+ people). We made significant business for the hotel: rented meeting rooms, had dinners in the hotel, etc. When I asked to print a few copies of paper for a meeting, I was advised the charges: $1 for black& white and $2.50 for color. This is outrages. I have staid... More

Yes, it is true that this is a beautiful property BUT we had a big surprised that ruined our trip. We booked the room for three people and were told there would be TWO beds - the problem is that instead of being a pair of Double or Queen beds like most hotels - they were two SINGLE person (aka... Have had the pleasure of eating here twice - in October and November. Perhaps the very best Chinese food I have ever had. The set menus complemented each other exceedingly well. The service might even be better than the food. Professional, efficient, well spoken in both Korean and English and made the experience even better. Outstanding experiences and I will... More

We stayed at the Shilla Seoul for 3 nights in December. The Shilla is an updated classic gem with a very nice atmosphere. The service was great and the food was consistent and quite good. I can't understand, however, how the Shilla prices its menu items including alcohol. We're not talking just expensive (after all it's a 5 star hotel)... More

The Shilla has a great location and very imposing entrance and lobby. The best part of this stay was the luxury room, recently renovated with a fab flatscreen TV, perfect shower and beautiful bed and bedding! Only downside was that the room was a little small and had only one chair. The hotel has one of the biggest gyms I've... More
