We stay at this hotel for two nights. The hotel room itself is old as other describe but clean which is enough for us since we are always outside during our stay except to sleep. The subway station is close to the hotel but we end up taking a taxi during the stay to myeongdong area. The concierge and receptionist... More

Stayed here on a brief overnight trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to many office buildings and in between two subway stations. Service was excellent. However, the room was extremely dated. Needs a renovation and more power outlets and lighting.

Dear Haycoconut, Thank you for your review of the Renaissance Seoul Hotel. Service is amazing, the Horizon lounge is a must for relaxation and a nice drink. Food in the steak house is outstanding. Staff are friendly and the do speak fluent English. If you are a meat eater try the bibim-bab, it is a sautéed beef, steamed rice with vegetables, chilli sauce and Korean side dishes

I could see that this hotel must have been amazing 10 years ago. Now its a decent hotel at a good location. Facilities and furniture are a little dated. But it was a good price and i would recommend it. Korean air limousine bus drops you off right in front of the hotel from the airport. 6703 i think was... More

This a great business hotel. Be aware this property is a bit older so the rooms do look a bit tired. However it is in Gangnam and close to the main business district and shopping street (it's a about 15-20 minute walk to the main shopping restaurant area - so this property is not at thr heart of Gangnam. A few blocks away from the main gangnam street.. Walking distance. Very friendly staff and team. Room may be a little out dated .. The hotel was probably a very nice hotel when it originally opened many years ago. However, today it somewhat worn down and not 100% up to date. Staying in Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam

Neighborhood Profile
Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam
If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no further than urban Gangnam and the nearby neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a strictly business district with a plethora of high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and the steady streams of office workers bustling about. But interlaced within are a string of shops, restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment. If Myeongdong is the generic meet-up and hangout spot north of the Han River, Gangnam is its answer for those on the south side. As evening comes, Gangnam comes alive with its countless neon lights attracting hordes of office workers, friends, and couples for food, drinks, perhaps a bit of singing at a noraebang, and more drinks. And the smattering of clubs around also draws plenty of folks looking to unwind and show off their moves on the dance floor. On weekends, the crowds gets bigger, the energy buzzes to a seemingly nonstop high, and Gangnam makes it clear why so many call Seoul the city that never sleeps.
