Good location and nice price. Room was a little old fashioned but was clean. The staff spoke Japanese as well as Korean, but don't recall any English speaking. Just try to avoid the room with the huge flashing sign right outside the window!

I had so many bug problems. Poor design for the bathroom and the fact that the rooms did not have shower curtains. This has been the worst hotel I've ever been to. Although the pricing was very cheap and that may be what some people look for it is definitely not worth it, if I were to bring my family... More

The location of this hotel is really great. Just a few steps from Dongdaemun metro station, 10 minutes from shopping malls / street markets & surrounded by some night restaurants. About the hotel itself, the crew is very nice & willing to help. Rooms are spacious but really old fashioned (carpet on the wall, orange/brown colours, ...) and most of... More

The hotel was recommended by our Korean business friends who we instructed to get us a below USD 100 a night room and they did at USD75. Very good location and budget wise you would spend less since you are at the city center. Do not expect the frills and fancy of a business hotel. This is good for a... More

We booked two rooms at this hotel but the conditions they were in were identical - small room, dark and grim, dirty old carpet, air condition that did not work. The best area in the room is the bathroom! I made a mistake of using their shampoo which not only I found out later I had to pay for but... More

I stayed in this hotel from 16May-20May'07 for a business cum leisure trip. Generally this hotel has nothing in appeal besides its great location, which totally makes up for everything. The hotel is just within 5 minutes walk to its famous shopping belt in Dongdaemun and the fashion wholesale market. A subway station is just below it. Within a few... More

Staying in Dongdaemun / Sindangdong

Neighborhood Profile
Dongdaemun / Sindangdong
For shopping enthusiasts, Dongdaemun is a must visit. Enormous shopping centers – stacked with multiple levels of boutique and independent shops – offer the latest in Korean fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and other goods while prices are relatively low. The night shopping (between late night and early morning) is particularly well known here, making Dongdaemun a place where you can literally shop until you drop. If fashion isn't what you’re looking for, the long-running wholesale markets nearby sell everything from cloth to utensils at lower prices. The rows of food stalls that set up at night ensure shoppers get refueled, and foodies will enjoy checking out nearby Sindang-dong’s Tteokbokki Town as well as some non-Korean offerings from the Central Asian Village near Dongdaemun.
