Thought I'd try the Coex instead of the Grand on this trip. Overall, I prefer the grand. For comparable rates the grand seems to have larger rooms (it's older) and perhaps better maintained. Staff was exceptionally friendly and the room had a great view of the river. Comfortable bed, bathroom floor has been redone and is a bit of a... More

I could not decide where to stay this time as Seoul is such a big city. The location here is kind of convenient while not close to anything unless there for a convention but central to everything so I decided why not. I was given a beautiful suite with an awesome panoramic view. Lounge staff could not have been nicer... More

Nice, comfortable, clean hotel. Watch the 3" step up into the bathroom - tripped on it repeatedly and cracked my phone when I tripped once. The breakfast is expensive, but delicious with lots of variety - US, Asian, European, lunch, and dessert options. Well worth the price.

I came here on business without appreciating the distance from Incheon Airport, particularly as my meeting was with a company near Incheon. The hotel is 60-120 minutes from to airport, however the executive coach service is extremely comfortable and frequent. At 16000 WON (about £10/US$16 it's a no brainier compared to a taxi at 5 X the price. The Hotel... More

I was at Intercontinental COEX for a 12-day work trip. Service at Intercontinental was fabulous! From front desk to Concierge to housekeeping, I have no complaints. At the 1 week mark, there's even complimentary champagne and strawberries found in my room. Strawberries was in season and gosh, were they yummy! There was also complimentary tickets to a local musical play.... More

As an Ambassador member, I enjoyed the Club amenities and there was a good food and drink selection for the cocktail hour. Service was friendly and helpful without being overbearing and the staff spoke great English. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was comfortable and clean, but I didn't come away with that 'wow' feeling. I would describe... More

When traveling for business I find that it is often the little things that really impact my stay. I always carry a power converter but the COEX has a built-in power converter in the room--a first! A total no-brainer that made me wonder why this isn't the norm! The swimming pool is also one of the best I've used in... More

I have been to Korea several times and have stated at the Intercontinental Coex before. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are well maintained, the beds are super cozy, great AC. The rooms have been updated however the bathrooms are outdated and need renovation. There is nothing wrong with the bathrooms but they can do a lot better. The... More

Normally when you sit down in a hotel for a 3 hour presentation - with hotel food - you might cringe. But intercontinental very much delivered to exceed expectations. Staff extremely professional and the food is quite good - considering 80-90 people are tying to eat all at once. Recommended for your biz events

I was impressed with the cleaning and conservation of the room and instalations. The lobby is a good place to take a rest and enjoy good music. The restaurant have a good diversity of oriental cousine. The location is good and the access to subway station is easy. This is a real 5 star hotel.

Staying in Samseongdong / COEX

Neighborhood Profile
Samseongdong / COEX
A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
