Nox Hotel is a gem! I almost cancel when I read some negative reviews but as it a non cancellation booking, I thought I w just give it a try. When I arrived, the front desk receptionist (note its at level 2 and there is no grd floor lobby so you have to bring your luggage up and down yourself)... More

Nox is a smaller hotel, not that many rooms. It's just off the main road but you would never see it without looking. I understand why everyone in S. Korea uses nav devices. Stayed for 3 nights in January. Big room, comfy bed, great sound system for music or tv (free movies available). In our case we had a stream... More

The best part of the room was the bathroom, big tub, big Mirror, very modern. The shower was not a seperate room so the water ran onto the bathroom floor and drained in the middle. The room was small but clean. Not much leg room and not much room for luggage. Staff was very friendly and helpful!!!

We came here on our first trip to South Korea and we were surprised. It's in the heart of Gangnam so the food around was a little bit more expensive but we were prepared for that. The people that worked there were amazing. They helped us not got lost and sat down with us suggesting all the places we should... More

Ok so after a 1 night stay at the Nox I have a mixed reveiew about the hitel as a whole. Good: -The staff are very very helpful and do not hesitate to ensure you are taken care of. -The bathroom is very nice with the jacuzzi tubb and rainfall shower. - The location is not bad, not too far... More

I like this hotel. It's very quiet, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I think it's very funny how the room is decked out with so many buttons and remote controls. The room was clean and simple. Nox is in a quiet area, about 15 min walk to the nearest subway station. There are many coffee shops, convenience... More

The Nox "Boutique" Hotel is a strange one. First of all, like all Seoul hotels, it is really hard to find. By taxi, the easiest way is to ask for the Renaissance Hotel. By Metro, come out of exit 7 of Yeoksam station and continue straight up over the hill, until you come to a big bronze-ish statue of a... More

I chose Nox Hotel for it's location (walking distance from Gangnam - but away from the hustle and bustle) and price. Yeoksam subway station is a mere 5 minute walk away. The hotel is located off the main road, but not far from it. The room is more than adequate, with an enormous TV, computer, free wi-fi and soft drinks,... More

Staying in Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam

Neighborhood Profile
Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam
If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no further than urban Gangnam and the nearby neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a strictly business district with a plethora of high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and the steady streams of office workers bustling about. But interlaced within are a string of shops, restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment. If Myeongdong is the generic meet-up and hangout spot north of the Han River, Gangnam is its answer for those on the south side. As evening comes, Gangnam comes alive with its countless neon lights attracting hordes of office workers, friends, and couples for food, drinks, perhaps a bit of singing at a noraebang, and more drinks. And the smattering of clubs around also draws plenty of folks looking to unwind and show off their moves on the dance floor. On weekends, the crowds gets bigger, the energy buzzes to a seemingly nonstop high, and Gangnam makes it clear why so many call Seoul the city that never sleeps.
