among guest houses I've been in Korea, it is at the best location. But that's really it. A hippy staff was not at all friendly and it was too expensive, even if it was more like a individual hotel room than a hostel.

Meh. We booked the 4-bed family room for 3 nights. The bunk beds were incredibly hard (like sleeping on a jjimjilbang floor), the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in and ALWAYS wet, and the employees weren’t…there. Even though we notified the employees by e-mail of our check-in time, there was no one there when we arrived. We... More

We stayed here early this year. I must say everything about it is bad. We chose a room for 5 pax, and we got 4 bunk beds and 1 extra mattress. If the room was spacious, I think we wouldn't mind, but the room was so small and there wasn't any ventilation. It felt like we were staying in a... More

we booked here for 4 nights. but unfortunately, maybe the staff dont have a record of the person that books on that date, or maybe they prioritize the group bookings thats why on our 3rd night they offer us two options: 1: have a refund but stay with other people, 2: private room but its kinda far. So we opted... More

The good: The location was really convenient, easily walk-able to the Hongdae and University area (to the subway too). There were convenience stores nearby. In the room there was a mini fridge/freezer, sink, washing machine, and a microwave in the room. Even though it was so nearby other apartments, shops and houses it was very quiet at night. The bad... I stayed at Pencil 3 Guesthouse for one night. It was fine, but it is hard to find (maybe 5-10 minutes walking from the subway station and down a small side street). There wasn't really any atmosphere, it's basically an apartment building full of studio apartments that have been converted into private rooms. The room was okay, cramped and without... More

Really nice place. The staff was kind of weird though. Anyways, Everything was nice and the rooms were big and clean. I liked it. Had a little bit of a walk from the subway but that was fine. It was worth what we payed for it.

The best thing is the location. Direct subway service to and from the Airport (Gimpo / Incheon) or train station (Seoul station) to Hongik University station, which is about 3 minutes away the hostel. The specific exit for the hostel (Exit 3) has an escalator, which most of the subway station in Korea don't have, is such a great news... More

I regretted booking this hostel. I should have refer to the reviews here too. The location here is good. I don't like the environment here. I do feel itchy on my bed. I wondered if they do keep the dust off. I had no problem with waiting for the toilet. During my stay there was a few people. Perhaps this... More

This is one of those places that could be so much better. The rooms are like small apartments. Sadly there are no chairs, tables, eating utensils, NADA! Yet they come with microwave, stove, and fridge. The beds are horrible - box springs poking through the filthy bed cover. The smell of mothballs permeate everything. And yes, there is a washing...
