If you want to experience staying in a typical Korean house, this is the right place specially because of the house owners who made me feel like at home. As traditional Korean houses, the rooms are around a yard and despite they are relatively small are comfortable and everything is clean. This experience made me think at coming to Korea... More

My family stayed in at Eugene's House for a weekend getaway in Seoul, and we'll definitely come back. Finding the hotel from the airport bus stop in the dark was tricky. But once you know your way, it is quite conveniently located in a pleasant residential neighborhood. The top selling point of the hotel are the owners, who treat you... More

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights while visiting Korea and had a fantastic time. The hosts were friendly, kind and helpful. They went out of their to way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay in Seoul. For example they provided us with an extra mattress and guided us to a local ginseng chicken... More

My wife and I are always on the lookout for off-the-beaten-track experiences wherever we travel and Eugene’s Guesthouse has turned out to be a gem of a discovery. We’ve stayed here on two occasions (three days each) and have totally enjoyed our stays as well as our interactions with the owners. Needless to say, they are as friendly and helpful... More

We were a group of 4 adults, 2 couples travelling around Seoul for a week. We booked a cheap guesthouse in Myeongdong for most of our stay but thought we'd treat ourselves to a nicer place for 2 nights so I booked Eugene's House. The man who introduced himself as the male owner asked for payment upfront. We paid and... More

What an amazing experience. My husband and I took our children, and we had rooms RF1 and RF2. Be forewarned. This is not a typical north american hotel. If you have back problems best to find a large chain hotel. BUT, if you're up for adventure and want to enjoy traditional Korean culture, then Eugene's is a gem. Our room... More

We stayed four nights and probably 2 nights would have been a good amount. I wanted to see and sleep in a hanok. We weren't in the main hanok but one a block over. The room was tiny (no big deal) with lots of furniture in it (a bit odd). We had our own bathroom with a washing machine in... More

I recently stayed 3 nights at Eugene's House and would not hesitate to stay again next time I'm in Seoul. The house and antique furnishings were beautiful. It is set just off the beaten track, but within a few minute's walk of a lively student area (Daehangno), which is jam-packed with restaurants, bars, cafes, some shops and lots of small... More
