I stayed at this location back in April of 2014 (the below list won't let me list anything earlier than July 2014) and only now thought of reviewing it here. I usually stay at Toyoko Inn if there is one available where I'm vacationing, since I'm a member and know exactly what to expect. This one is pretty much on... More

Very convenient, just take bus 6001 from Airport and will arrive direct! And membership for one free night after 10 nights stay! And price is very good, and easy to go to fashion square! Including breakfast every morning until 0900, highly recommend!

I've always stayed in the same chain because of easy booking and good locations plus the services provided are good. However, this is the first time I am booking 16 nights at one go and I had issues with it as the maximum number of nights I could book was 7 nights. So in the end, I had to book... More

My wife and I recently spent two and a half weeks in Seoul attending several conferences at opposite ends of the city. We stayed in this hotel first and then moved to another one that was more convenient to the COEX center, where the second conference was. This hotel prides itself on cutting consumer costs by eliminating frills. On the... More

The location is excellent in Seoul downtown. It is so closed to the popular shopping area. You can do shopping till mid night! Though their room size is small but very clean and tidy. Also, their staffs are freindly and helpful. For the breakfast, I do appreciate their standard. Anyway, will stay here again in future.

room and toilet is small but clean, it does worth it because price is cheaper than other hotels with such a convenience location. Staff is friendly but english speaking skills is not too fluent but is acceptable. Altough this hotel is very close to subway station, but the subway exit is a bit far away from the location where you... More

This hotel has a particular reservation arrangement. Non members can only try to book 3 months before the stay. If you try to plan to book early, you won't to able to. For me, I logged in to book exactly 3 months before and my preferred twin rooms are all taken. Ended up with 2 double bed. If you are... More

The rooms are very small but provides all the basic facilities and are very clean. The hotel is in main market area of Seoul where other hotels are very expensive. You get this hotel as a nice solution to stay in main city area with your budget. For a short stay you will find this hotel very nice. Main market... More

Stayed for almost 2 weeks. Rooms are small but clean, imagine standard US hotel rooms and cut in half, thin walls, if the neighbors are loud you might not like it. Had that problem twice while we stayed. Breakfast every morning in the lobby. It is not bad but as of me I can't eat same things several days straight... More

Room is small but comfy which is all you need for a place to shower and sleep. Breakfast is very basic but they are really on time when the breakfast time ends at 930am. A tip for Asian travellers who likes strong coffee, bring your own 3in1. Though ther is a kettle and cups in the room, there is no... More

Staying in Dongdaemun / Sindangdong

Neighborhood Profile
Dongdaemun / Sindangdong
For shopping enthusiasts, Dongdaemun is a must visit. Enormous shopping centers – stacked with multiple levels of boutique and independent shops – offer the latest in Korean fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and other goods while prices are relatively low. The night shopping (between late night and early morning) is particularly well known here, making Dongdaemun a place where you can literally shop until you drop. If fashion isn't what you’re looking for, the long-running wholesale markets nearby sell everything from cloth to utensils at lower prices. The rows of food stalls that set up at night ensure shoppers get refueled, and foodies will enjoy checking out nearby Sindang-dong’s Tteokbokki Town as well as some non-Korean offerings from the Central Asian Village near Dongdaemun.
