Hill House Hotel is a medium sized hotel that provides bargain prices while offering an excellent location. The location is very good, as it is near to Myeong Dong shopping area, Namdaemun, and Seoul N Tower. But be reminded it is a hotel at a hill, so you need to walk up and down the hill everyday, not recommended for family with children or old folks. Convenient for Myeong Dong shopping, Namdeamun market and Hoehyeon MTR close by. Can also walk to the Seoul Tower up the hill if you're in reasonable shape. Staff very friendly with good English. Stayed in the superior double 1 night and deluxe twin 2 nights. Love the room. Good sleep too. Simple and new. The deluxe twin was more expensive but more spacious and liked it better. I do agree with previous reviewers as far as location, value and cleanliness is concerned, but not a single room in the hotel has a shower-cubicle. You have to climb in and out of bathtubs, neither glass partitions or shower curtains are provided causing the proverbial floods unless you are extremely careful. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was in a not so upscale area but it had a nice reception area very clean room and free wifi that did not drop. We found this hotel on booking.com but never knew how hard it was to find it. There is a lack of midrange hotels in Korea. It's hard to find a standard and affordable hotel in many places in Korea including Seoul. The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
