Jelly is not a great but of hotel in center of city close to gangnam. Rooms are gloomy and corridors are mostly dark. it is difficult to find the hotel on your own. Our taxi guy had to call the hotel several times to get the direction. It would be good hotel option for those who are looking for love... More

We stayed here for five nights in May, and while it was a good enough value for the area, I don't think we would stay here again. We were given a room on the sixth floor, one of the "Deluxe Double" rooms with a heart shaped hottub. Immediately upon entering, I noticed the reek of cigarette smoke, but the room... More

My business partner had booked two single rooms for us, since the location was close to the Conference Center. We had no idea it was a Love Motel, where couples can find some privacy they lack in the homes of their parents or in the office. We arrived late at night and were taken aback my the dim lighting in... More

This was our second visit to Seoul and my and my husband thought we would check out a love hotel. We had heard a lot of mixed things about them, but figured we would take a chance and book one in the Gangnam district. First off, finding it is hard. Even with the address the cab driver had a hard... More

As others have said, Jelly is one of Seoul's rather famous/infamous "love hotels", where young couples go to escape what is still a relatively conservative social structure. That said, it is also useful for a reasonably priced alternative to the rather expensive mainstream hotels and it doesn't really give off a creepy vibe and is reasonably clean. The "breakfast" consists,... More

After spending most of our trip in Seoul staying with friends, my boyfriend and I wanted to spend our last night somewhere special... so why not spend it at the famous (according to the Seoul Timeout Guide:-) Jelly Hotel? The hotel is situated on a little side street and is very discreet. The lobby is very dark with romantic candles... More

My sister and I had a nice 2-bed room. Clearly, this hotel is geared to romantic couples. But we found it very satisfactory. It was nice to have a computer with internet provided. The shower was great. The 9 PM check-in time might be an inconvenience for some. We understood there weren't many 2-bed rooms.

Staying in Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam

Neighborhood Profile
Gangnam / Nonhyeon / Yeoksam
If you thought business and fun couldn’t mix, look no further than urban Gangnam and the nearby neighborhoods. On the surface, Gangnam comes off as a strictly business district with a plethora of high-rise office buildings jutting into the sky and the steady streams of office workers bustling about. But interlaced within are a string of shops, restaurants, bars, and other spots for entertainment. If Myeongdong is the generic meet-up and hangout spot north of the Han River, Gangnam is its answer for those on the south side. As evening comes, Gangnam comes alive with its countless neon lights attracting hordes of office workers, friends, and couples for food, drinks, perhaps a bit of singing at a noraebang, and more drinks. And the smattering of clubs around also draws plenty of folks looking to unwind and show off their moves on the dance floor. On weekends, the crowds gets bigger, the energy buzzes to a seemingly nonstop high, and Gangnam makes it clear why so many call Seoul the city that never sleeps.
