I stayed at Kim's guest house for two weeks back in the summer. As far as I remember, I met people from everywhere (laos, france, germany, america, finland) and made some friends with which I went out. The accomodation is fine, but the perk of staying here is that the owners are really welcoming. I went rock climbing in the... More

Very clean! Quite cheap for Seoul. It is a great place to meet travelers. The few people staying at the guest house were mainly solo travelers. Kim herself is a lovely laidy very keen to help. Without a doubt I would go back to Kim's if I am lucky enough to be back in Korea

We stayed a week at Kims' Guest House in Seoul, and liked our clean, comfortable room, the homey common room downstairs, and super-friendly and helpful Sonny, the co-owner. Unlike many hostel-like guesthouses I've seen around the world, Kims' Guest House is true to its name. It's really more like staying in someone's home, where you can relax in the living... More

I booked a bit over a month in advance and confirmed by email as requested. However upon arrival there was no booking recorded for us. Upon showing Sunny (the owner) the email she commented that it was over a month ago and so the booking would have been deleted as she wasn't sure if we were coming. It would have... More

Kim and her brother were excellent host. Friendly, approachable and willing to assist in any way they can. The room that we had were a family room for 4 persons. Clean and spacious, the only drawback was there isn't a bathroom attached. Nevertheless the common bathroom that is shared with 2 other rooms was clean. Location-wise it is good as... More

ok I am probably not your typical person that would stay in a hostel like this. I am 40 and married with a family. I was traveling to Korea on my own for some personal stuff to do. I haven't been back for a few years and this time I really needed to stay in Mapo-gu. I figured why not... More

A small, cozy guesthouse run by brother and sister Kim. Always have been very welcomed by them and they always like to have a talk before you go out again to explore Seoul. First time I came here was in 2008 and since then I've already been there about 4 or 5 times. Since the first time they really made... More

Kim's guesthouse is a wonderful hostel to stay at. It's clean and comfortable. The owner Sunny is incredibly warm and welcoming. Thank you Sunny for taking us out for dinner! The BEST THING about this hostel is it's RELAXED atmosphere. It isn't run like a school, with strict timetables and rules. I feel like I'm staying in someone's incredibly hospitable... More

We stayed at Kim's Guesthouse twice during our six day visit to South Korea. We went to Seoraksan National Park for a hiking trip. Kim's guesthouse was a nice experience. Ms. Kim the lady that owns the place was so nice. You almost feels like coming home. They got clean rooms, washing machine and dry tumbler. The price for a... More
