We have just arrived back from Tbilisi and we can fully recommend staying at Skadaveli. Spacious rooms, everything clean, beautiful veranda for early morning coffee or evening glass of wine and on the top of it Irakli, the owner who is always ready to help, with sense of humor and hospitality. For sure we will come back :-) Jana &... More

I really don't have anything new to say. I'd just ask you to read most of the earlier reviews and sum it up. All of them speak for me! Planned on staying for 2 nights, ended up with 5. Thanks to Irakli and the young lady who helps him keep the place squeaky clean (I forget her name). I always... More

Western filling with georgian wrapping. The building itself one of the sad mementos from Tbilisi's better times - so be prepared make a few round around the block before you'll hardly believe: you arrived. The host as the others mentioned, is an excellent partner for chat and he can guide you around of the local political and social circumstances. But... More

This place is made better by having a great informative manager. Irakli enjoys passing on information on what to see and do and places to eat in Tbilisi. We rented the Deluxe Twin with ensuite for 3 nights and were impressed. The room was large, the beds comfortable and bathroom good with ample hot water and pressure. The share kitchen... More

Really friendly and helpful house, good & clean bathroom, very good location, good beds, extremely charming overall experience.. Would recommend this place to everyone! Have a glass of their homemade wine on the veranda, SO good!

I warmed to this place very quickly. The owner is extremely helpful and there is a big gorgeous veranda where you can sit, gaze and read. The shower works well and provides a steady stream of hot water (this is not a given in some Georgian hostels/home stays). The rooms are generously sized, beds are comfortable and the style/furnishings are... More

You look at it from outside and you think the place is falling apart. But don't let that deter you. Once you are up the stairs and it's another world. Irakli makes sure your stay is comfortable and gives a lot of advice on travelling around Georgia. The place is impeccably clean. You can use the kitchen freely. We stayed... More

My fiancée and I stayed here for a week over New Year's, and it was the best we could have asked for! If you were to take all that gives Tblisi it's charm and put it all in to a hostel, Skadaveli is what you would get! Irakli was kind and helpful, the room was giant and well heated, and... More

If you can get past the slightly idiosyncratic booking process (it took me nearly three weeks to get confirmation) this place will reward you well. Tastefully decorated, clean comfortable rooms with - if I'm not mistaken - extra long beds. Breakfast is not provided but there is a communal kitchen area with a fridge and free tea and coffee. Shared... More

The old town of Tblisi is without a doubt a better place to stay than the 'new town'. Irakli the proprietor is a charming man who goes out of his way to assist with information and advice. The building is a little tatty (but so is the old area) but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Strongly recommended
