The location of the hotel is great, but the entrance is very hard to find. The hotel is very basic and calling it B&B would be more correct. The room was clean but a bit noisy due to the location by Rustaveli Avenue. We also couldn't find the light switch of our bathroom. There weren't any choices for breakfast, you... More

My wife and I decided to visit Tbilisi because we had a couple of extra days on a longer trip. It was our first visit to Georgia. After taking a look at the reviews of Hotel Gutsa, we decided to take a chance. The hotel owner called me the day before we were to arrive. I could not understand her,... More

First thing this place is hard to find, there is a small sign on the street which is easy to miss, then you have to go up a dark staircase to an unmarked door and knock to gain admittance. Once inside the owner is very friendly, she speaks no English but we got by in bad French. It's a funny... More

Having booked the place by email, straight from the airport we arrived in the middle of the night but had problems finding the place in the dark. A very helpful policewoman showed us up an unlit stairwell to the door (unmarked) and rang the bell. We were greeted and made to feel at home by our hostess and given a... More

We came across Hotel Gutsa by chance... was walking by and saw the "hotel" sign. So we decided to check out the place. We were not happy at where we were staying so went back the next day to pre-booked the rest of our stay in Tbilisi at Hotel Gutsa. We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Gutsa because of its... More

I have trusted the reviews from this site and did not regret it. The communication was easy in that family owned guesthouse. As far as I know, the owner, a former teacher, can cope with Georgian, Russian (in writing, with a native speaker level), French and German (orally). She has relatives living abroad if extra help is needed. Her many... More

I stuck to the good recommenadations here which was a big mistake. I didn't stay here because we couldn't come to an agreement. I contacted this unprofessional place by email in English and got an answer after a few days. Then, it turned out that somebody helped the owner lady with English but obviously not in the correct way. After... More

First off this is a quaint little place, with paintings everywhere. It's a guesthouse not a hotel it's not the Crown Plaza or Four Points Sheraton. The elderly lady that runs the guesthouse was quite pleasant to me despit the fact that she speaks only Russian & Georgian. The rooms were sufficent to the cause.Maid service upon request or at least clean towels/linen... I am georgian and I have chosen this hotel for my friends who were coming to Tbilishi this summer. The hotel location is great, you are in the center of the city. The prices are affordable and the rooms are clean. What was very shocking for me and what will make that I will never never go back to this... More

This place is terrible, I really don´t understand the rave reviews. First of all the "pleasant" lady is not all that pleasant. They insist on being paid from the get go. Also the "breakfeast" is laid out on the table before she goes to sleep so you´re greeted in the morning with stale bread and soggy tomato. Needless to say... More
