My Mother and I booked 2 nights at the hotel , from the moment we walked in the service was great . I'm a picky eater , the food variety was excellent . The cocktails were the best part 😄, many thanks to the dedicated and polite staff for making us feel at home . Christmas period is really busy... More

We had a truly wonderful Christmas holiday experience despite the hundreds of hotel guests at the time. The hotel, though fairly old, has been very well maintained with courteous management and staff who go the extra mile to satisfy the needs of their hotel guests (even those who do not parle beacoup le français). The meals were great, and with... More

Stayed at Le President for 4 nights last week. Was attending a conference hosted at the hotel. The rooms are decent in size but definitely need some updating. The furniture hasn't changed since construction in the 70s and while giving a cool vibe to the whole place as if you're transfixed in time, some newer mattresses and office chairs would... More

I have stayed at the Hotel President many times for work travel. It was built in the 1970s and has not been upgraded since. I imagine it would have been great 30 years ago. Often no hot water or brown rusty warmish water. The rooms are serviceable and clean enough. The service staff extremely disinterested but not atypical of many... More

Whoever gave this hotel 5* must have been bribed or a gun was pointed to his family!! impossible! Brown water, that is when it was available. in fact every time we needed to take a shower, we would call reception and report that there is no water, then immediately brown water would flow from the taps. As for bedding (lol)...oh... More

This was clearly once a very prestigious hotel, but my room was very dated and many things didn't function. It was clean enough, but I didn't get a hot shower for three days and the water came out like a hose pipe! The food and drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. The view from the restaurant on top of the hotel... More

I grew up in Yamoussoukro and spent many Saturdays at the swimming pool at this hotel. After 15 years away from Côte d'Ivoire I visited Yamoussoukro again and stayed at the President. It has aged a bit but it's still easily the best hotel in this part of the world. You may have to brush up on your French though... More

Pros -Clean. -Hot water. -Large room. -Internet worked (well at least sporadically). -Good breakfast. -Given I was in a small city in Cote d'Ivoire for business and had never stayed in Yamoussoukro before I thought the hotel was pretty decent. Cons -Not too many, depends on your expectations. -I think I was charged a different rate than locals, and the... More

Hotel President in Yamoussoukro is a dated but clean and well maintained one in this small city. I have spent 3 days at this hotel, including the 2014 Reveillon Party. The staff at the reception were very helpful and, in some way, friendly. The furniture is old but in good condition as it is the rest of the building. There... More

Dated hotel, no renovations done to bring it in to the 21st century. Visited as a couple. We arrived at 2pm , rooms not ready though you could supposedly check in at noon. Came back at 4pm, room still not ready. Finally given keys at 5:30 pm too late to use the swimming pool. To add insult to injury, the... More
