After reading the reviews of this hotel we weren't expecting much and they did not disappoint. We paid $45 for a very outdated room without a window. Due to the lack of window or any proper ventilation, the room was quite moldy and had a weird smell. For some reason the beds were covered in plastic making the sheets slip... More

The Beautyland 2 is an average hotel. Most rooms don't have windows and due to the frequent power blackouts in Yangon, fans and A/C stop once in a while. There is a backup generator in the hotel, but -at least the one night we stayed here- it took quite a while to get it up and running. Room was clean,... More

This was the perfect budget place in Yangon. You could not ask for a better location, the rooms are clean and relatively comfortable, and the staff was helpful and full of great recommendations. Internet is painfully slow as in many places in Myanmar, but it's a short walk to the Trader hotel lobby where you can get a coffee and... More

Extremely helpful and welcoming staff. Our room did not have a window but had ventilation and A/C. The rooms with windows are at the front and back of the building and I think the front ones would be quite noisy so a room without a window is a good choice. Our room was very clean and the bathroom had hot... More

Want a well priced, well located friendly hotel which delivers good value in the current supply of hotel rooms in Yangon? I would be happy to stay here again. The hotel is old style and has old fashioned friendly service, with friendly, respectful staff attitude and helpfulness being its best asset. Nothing was too much trouble and I really felt cared... More

Having read about Yangon accommodation and this hotel I was not expecting too much. Located off the main road, the street is quite quiet and dark at night but felt safe. The hotel is old, dated and dark. The room was very small but had A/C and a fan. Old TV but had a couple of channels. The bathroom was... More

This is not a luxurious hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, safe, and staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is good. Wifi is slow but available. The real hi light is staff, who recommended some of the best restaurants and things to do we experienced, and were competent and helpful with whatever travel arrangements we needed. Yangon hotels... Definitely expect one star quality. Your money can go a lot further in Yangon. The bed was concrete and the wifi un-usable (so slow it is basically non existent). The staff was friendly enough, but not too incredibly helpful.

This place is clean enough, the breakfast is decent but it's a little expensive for what you get. Instead try the Chan Myaye on Maha Bandoola Garden Street (that is if you don't mind climning a few stairs to get to the guest house) or the Motherland II on Lower Pazundaung Road, the mecca for backpackers in Yangon.

Clean, helpful, it is what it is for the money. Felt safe, breakfast fine, and pretty central. What you need to know is for evening street restaurants & bars ask for 19 Street BBQ, China Town. It's about 1500K in a taxi that drops you at the dark end of the street.
