Yes. This hotel was built more than half-a-century ago. But still.. I found myself on 27th. & 28th. September nights as a Guest there, just to relax and feel like home in downtown area. Yes..this is amazing. I know its stars rating, but i will say... I am very happy to be there; value-for-money is most important sometimes.

We stay in Thamada Hotel because of our budget and hotel location. What we pay is what we get. For the amount we paid for bed and breakfast inclusive, nothing to complain. The room and bathroom is really very old but both are spacious. It is just a few minutes walk to Mainline railway station; China town (city centre), stone... More

Other than the convenient location of the hotel, do not expect too much from your stay at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located - with restaurants and eating places down small street when you turn left from the hotel entrance; Cafe 365 just downstairs (although the food is not fantastic); walkable distance to Bogyoke/Scotts Market (about 10mins) and there... The Thamada is very close to the railway station, Sule pagoda and markets. It's an old hotel that could do with a bit of an overhaul. The rooms are a fair size with a seating area, however, the beds are a bit on the small and uncomfortable side. On the upside, the air conditioning worked really well. The bathroom is... More

Affordable accommodation ideal for a short stay. Friendly service and well situated, but rooms are exactly what you pay for. Uncomfortable beds are a major downside, but find if youre not spending much time in your room.

The room was very spacious with a huge bathroom with toiletries. The staff at reception were amazing especially the security man and the luggage assistant who we both tipped. They were always greeting us, opening doors, getting the lift for us. We felt so welcome every time. 365 food is not the best but can be quite convenient. Best to... More

Service is extremely poor - the air conditioning broke down and was not fixed for over 24 hours. We are paying for a room with air conditioning and the management said they would not do anything to compensate for the fact that we were literally sweating in our rooms. They gave us a fan but with the temperature approaching 40... More

We recently had 2 of 1night stays at the start/finish of our trip around Myanmar. The hotels was clean and in a good location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is past its "use by date" and is overpriced for the condition of its rooms if you have to pay the full rate. Try the internet... More

This hotel is not fancy but the room we had was spacious, clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the beautiful colonial buildings and close to cheap but clean restaurants fr trying Burmese food.

This hotel is centrally situated, clean, and relatively cheap at $80 per night. The staff are friendly and helpful. the 365 Cafe on the ground floor provides tasty, no frills, food and drink around the clock at reasonable prices. All of this makes it a great base for a 3 or 4 day visit to Yangon.
