This old hotel really need a make over back to it's glory days. Stayed 2 nights in room 404 and the old mattresses has lost its firmness but the room are big though. Only saw two other guests over 2 days so if you don't like crowded hotel this is the place. Although the hotel does provide free wifi but... More

This is an excellently located hotel, near the central railway station, walking distance of Bogoyoke market and Sule Pagoda and easy access to Shwedagon Pagoda. This an old hotel with large rooms and very large windows. The flooring is of wood which has broken up in some places and not repaired. The door lock is dodgy and requires to be... More

The hotel is spick and span and very clean, beautiful decor along the hallways and very good house keeping staff. Great restaurant right next to the hotel serves fusion food. great location with all sites including Sule Pagoda, Aung Saan Market close by. kandawgyi lake is also a short walk but also a minimum taxi ride can be taken. This hotel is located in the heart of the city, opposite of the railway station. The Shwedagon Pagoda is just 3 minutes by taxi, and you can just walk into Yangon downtown. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a good shower. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Ten minutes walk to Bogyoke Market and the circular station is just nearby which we can see from our window. Check-in was smooth. The building is old and needs renovation. On our way to our room, we noticed that there was a bucket in the corridor as the ceiling was leaking. The superior twin room was spacious enough and has... More

Do not stay in this hotel unless you want to share it with a rat, yes we had a rat run across the bedroom floor. Luckily, we were able to change rooms but did not sleep due to the rat incident and being on the front of the hotel next to the busy road Very dated and dowdy hotel. Rooms... More

Top convenient location for main visiting places of Yangon. Adequate lodging services. This hotel has a 24/7 restaurant at first floor. Cheap price and tasteful food. Can find both western as well as Chinese food here, even some Japanese food. Spend about 7-8US$/meal. The room was spacious and clean enough. I recommend this hotel for budget travelers looking for good... More

Yes. This hotel was built more than half-a-century ago. But still.. I found myself on 27th. & 28th. September nights as a Guest there, just to relax and feel like home in downtown area. Yes..this is amazing. I know its stars rating, but i will say... I am very happy to be there; value-for-money is most important sometimes.

We stay in Thamada Hotel because of our budget and hotel location. What we pay is what we get. For the amount we paid for bed and breakfast inclusive, nothing to complain. The room and bathroom is really very old but both are spacious. It is just a few minutes walk to Mainline railway station; China town (city centre), stone... More

Other than the convenient location of the hotel, do not expect too much from your stay at the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located - with restaurants and eating places down small street when you turn left from the hotel entrance; Cafe 365 just downstairs (although the food is not fantastic); walkable distance to Bogyoke/Scotts Market (about 10mins) and there...
