We had a terrible experience at this hotel. The staff openly lied to us and we're unfriendly and unhelpful. A complete contrast to the beautiful experience we had everywhere else in Myanmar. The room was infested with ants and cockroaches, and the air conditioning unit leaked continually. To add insult to injury the place is surrounded by noisy construction. Avoid... More

Stayed 3 nights and we were very happy with our choice. Location right behind Shangri la hotel,( went there for coffee a few times), very close to the Scott market and walking distance to 18 street which is BBQ street. Room was small, but certainly adequate for our short stay, twin beds together to make a double. Nice clean sheets... More

We took the night bas from Bagan to Yangon, and reaching there at 5am+. When we reach the hotel at about 5:30am, they let us check in early, so we get to shower and rest after the long ride. The location is superb! Very close to most of the landmarks (Sule Pagoda, Boyoke/Scott Market, The Strand hotel, etc). It is... More

Not bad, not great, this budget hotel worked well enough for my needs. Great, welcoming staff. Pretty good, interesting, expansive breakfast (by free-Burma-hotel-breakfasts standards). The room and bathroom were clean and there were amenities, gratis! The wifi worked for me, yay! Now then, the downsides: the room was small. REALLY small. As I walked past the bed, my belly rubbed... This hotel is in a crowded laneway, and is walking distance to Scott St markets and our favourite restaurant, Nilars Biriyani. Despite being in a busy laneway, the noise is not too bad. The hotel is clean with attentive and very helpful staff, especially the bell boys. The rooms are comfortable and practical. Room 809 is slightly larger. The set... More

I stayed a night at the hotel for 1 day visit to Yangon in August 2014 as transit to Bagan the day after. It was clean, the staffs spoke english well, provided as much as information I needed as well as arranged a taxi with an english speaker driver, they were very helpful. I took a deluxe room at 6th... I've seen the other reviews, and so, it's expensive for what it is, so are all hotels in Yangon. Its just the market rate, which by the way is in $US at a not very good exchange rate. I was more than happy to have a clean cool room at 5:15AM (off the train), and have a shower. Thats value!... More

Hotel is clean, comfortable and front desk people very friendly and accommodating. Now to the bad stuff, shangri-la is building a monstrous extension right outside their window. The lights, noise and construction is 24 hours a day. They moved us to a different room which was way better but staff would be chatting, making noise and laughing through the night.... More

Very simple hotel, friendly people, no restaurant, and good location. Good for one or two nights. The hotel is clean, internet is working, bathroom is okay, but you do not want to stay for a long time in the room. Recommended for budget travellers.
