We stayed at the Governor's Residence for one night at the beginning of our trip and three nights at the end. We asked for and stayed in a second floor room, which was private and had a beautiful view of the swimming pool and the gardens. The large room was graciously equipped as was the bathroom, the only complaint being... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Governor's Residence. Our stay was two nights at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end. Spacious rooms, nice beds and bath. Very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. You must try the Mohenga. Mandalay restaurant at night was also wonderful. Complimentary bicycles for guests although the traffic can be a bit... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in total. We had a Governors room on a higher floor each time, so no privacy issues, some of the ground floor rooms are rather less private.Lovely room each time, spacious and well equipped, with free wifi. The only issue was the lighting, a bit gloomy! The grounds are lovely, and the staff attentive and... More

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. It's set in a verdant garden dotted with lotus pools, the hotel is truly magical at the end of a day spent visiting the majestic Shwedagon Pagoda that is only a 30minute walk or 10minute taxi ride away. For us one of the best hotels on our trip through Myanmar. Very friendly and... More

We spent two nights at this hotel. The room was good, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds. We found all the staff friendly and helpful but at times not everything went smoothly, especially in the restaurant. Twice we had booked a table for dinner and when we arrived for our meal were told that there was no such reservation,... More

The hotel is beautiful and a must stay when you are in Yangoon. The only negative aspect of our stay was that it was for only one night. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and tranquil. The beds were comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly.

My wife and I spent 3 days here at the beginning and end of our first visit to Myanmar. The service was generally excellent without being overbearing. The rooms were large and comfortable but if you want a bath make sure you check your room when booking. Our room had a large wet room with a shower instead of one... More

Just home after a few nights in this hotel. What a place, rooms spacious, clean. Food delicious, from morning to evening. Very nice pool. One of the guest relations supervisor, Hsu Lwin Aung( Oscar), was very nice to help us with tours around Yangon.

This hotel unfolds into a lush garden with a beautiful pool. The teak wood floors take you back in time. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was well-apppointed. The only problem was no one told us you need to request mosquito netting, so we were up much of the night. We dined at the hotel... More
