I have been here for 2 nights. The room was very big even enough for 5 person in one room but the bathroom facility was not really good. They dont have cotton bud and comb as usual as five star hotel. Breakfast was not too satisfied. They dont have buffet breakfast instead of menu like in an usual restaurant. Most... More

The Strand is a majestic colonial masterpiece. Restored to much of its glory by the current owners, this is, by far, the best hotel to stay at in Yangon. The standard superior suites are simply massive while the deluxe suites are breathtaking and the executive suites truly luxurious - all three harken back to a bygone era you will not... More

Stayed at the Strand for three nights and were charmed. Old world elegance with modern convenience. The breakfast were particularly enjoyable since they were served without a buffet! Our room was very large and the beds were extremely comfortable. Would stay again if we return to Yangon.

The Strand has been totally renovated to its former glory. Even if you don't decide to have a coffee, meal or high tea here. You must visit just to wander inside and see what it was like when the English were creating all these beautiful buildings in foreign countries. We only had coffee and high tea,but it was excellent. You... More

The Strand, Yangon wraps itself in the glory of the great architects of the late 1800's. A sister property of Raffles, this hotel defines luxury and elegance. The walls hold secrets of poetry and prose with the likes of Somerset Maugham, Rudyard Kipling and George Orwell, who have graced the writing desks of this fine hotel. Even Mick Jaggar has... More

Stayed a couple of nights here in November, A very well presented hotel with lots and lots of Colonial style (including butlers) Fairly low rise hotel with not too many rooms so it has a very personal feel Extremely high standard of rooms, comfortable beds and very attentive staff. Close to the river and within walking distance of some exciting... More

My husband has stayed here on business a couple of times and has always had a very enjoyable stay. As a family we finally managed to join him and booked a lovely room but were upgraded to a larger suite, very handy when travelling with our teenage daughter. The room was very traditional and comfortable with lovely beds and a... More

This hotel is situated in the city area near the Australian and British Embassies. It is absolutely charming & has huge rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows, TV, fridge, phone and Wi-Fi. There is also a Butler on each floor who greets you with a smile and will organize laundry, more pillows etc. The breakfast menu is very good... More

Not the cheapest place in Yangon by a long way , but having been to the Govenors residence , for lunch , we were glad we stayed at the Strand. Since the location is much better with plenty of places to walk to at night . They have kept the charm of the old colonial days . and our room... More
