Yes, Yangon is expensive, but 32$ a night for a room next to the reception where you get awoken at 5am is too expensive. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was great, but with so many other guest houses nearby you might check around. Clean room and bathroom eventhough it smelled a bit weird. The room has mosquitonet which... More

A small cozy, back packer's friendly Okinawa Guest House is located right at the heart of the Yangon city, 5 minutes walk to Sule Pagoda, 15 minutes walk to Bogyoke market, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. Room rates starting from 12$ for hostel type room beds, 18$ for single room, 35$ for double room with bathroom attached. Rooms are... More

We took this guest house for our last night in Yangoon. We got the room close to the kitchen for 25$ with AC and shared bathroom (upstair and NO HOT WATER) and included breakfast. The guesthouse is close to the Sule Pagoda and many mosquees. The guesthouse is almost fully built in wood like in Japan ;) Since we woke... More

The good fact about is: dorms! if you are a solo traveller in Myanmar, I must recommend it. The top floor room has about 8 maitress, 10U$ each. However t is extremely hot up there and the A/C does not seems to be enough. The wifi does not work anywhere but the reception area. The location is great, close to... More

This Guesthouse is very cheap, specially if you choose a common room. It is very Japanese-style. The staff is not very helpful as they don't speak good English and "Free Wifi" simply does not exist at all. It is ok for staying a 1 or 2 days.

It costs only 10 Usd a dorm in a shared room (4 beds) (price if u drop in). The place is new and clean. Hot water in the shower. Good location (the bus from airport and bus station are 2 minutes away). Interent is the poor/average as in all Myanmar (ok for checking email)

I stayed in Okinawa Guesthouse II (only few minutes from the First guesthouse), which is newer, clean, and good spot to go anywhere in Yangon. They use Okinawa concept for the hostel, so that is pretty interesting. It was clean, good bed, great location, and they have mosquito net for each of us. They even provided breakfast for us too.... Stayed at the guest house 2 which is just down the street from the first. Stayed in the dorm, about 15 single beds. Bug nets, air condition, lots of space, lock boxes, very clean. Cost $10 USD per night and included wifi and breakfast. Wifi wasn't very strong but the people were amazing. Carried our bags, let us use the... More

Double room with bathroom attached plus air condition is USD27 and twin bedroom with shared bathroom is USD25. They have dormitary bed too with USD10. Overall great with the location, pack market and... More

Right in the centre, and reasonable (for Yangon...) many types of rooms, wifi, free breakfast (Myanmar style) Like other reviews I've read, there is the one son (16 or 17) working all day all night, sleeps on the floor behind reception desk while the parents pop in once a day to basically get mad at him it seemed.....I didn't like...
