Right in the centre, and reasonable (for Yangon...) many types of rooms, wifi, free breakfast (Myanmar style) Like other reviews I've read, there is the one son (16 or 17) working all day all night, sleeps on the floor behind reception desk while the parents pop in once a day to basically get mad at him it seemed.....I didn't like... The place looks good but is overpriced, small rooms, a million muscuitos and very noisy. Most of the staff is very friendly but the thing that bothers me most is that the little kids are working very hard while the adults are just grumpy watching and doing nothing! This is the only place in Myanmar where I've seen this situation... More

I'd recommend this Guest House for travellers who enjoy a well-centered place because its pretty close to Sule Pagoda. However if you are keen to other aspects,e.g cleanliness, price, its not a good choice. Me and my friend got a double bed room($24 per day, shared bathroom)down to the end of the lobby which is really close to the kitchen.... More

The staff was very flexible and helpful. Where at other paces I wasn't allowed to an advance booking during the waterfestival, here, it was no problem. When (for other guests) it wasn't sure there was enough room, they made it happen. The flexible and relaxed attitude of the staff created a nice and relaxing atmosphere in the hostel. (btw, I... Stayed a couple of nights at Okinawa 1 the first time. Dorm room gets very hot even with the aircon at daytime. Good temperature at night. Wifi is slow but its working. Lots of people in staff, young guys sleeping in weird positions everywhere, friendly people and helpful though. They seem to work way too much, it's like they're living... More

After going from one terrible and expensive place to the next in downtown yangon i stumbled upon this place. Luckily there was one dormbed left! Friendly staff, clean and pretty dormroom, nice breakfast, i stayed four nights and id deffinately stay again. Wifi was by far the best in Myanmar (which is not saying much unfortunately). Try finding something better... More

Dorm for $10 in Okinawa guesthouse 2, a few doors down opposite side from Okinawa. The dorm is upstairs including breakfast (nice breakfast), its air conditioned (note the aircon nazi does turn it off, just tell that staff member to stop it) and extremely clean. Note there are times when there is a line up for the toilets. The staffs... More

Paid 25$ for a room with shared bathroom which was the least value I could get for accomodation in Myanmar. Bathroom had worms on the floor coming from the drain. Breakfast was a greasy noodle with spring roll. The best thing in this place is the location and cosy room, and compared to other accomodations around and similar price, it... More

I booked the expensive room with big bed and own bathroom for $28 but the place is so small and the walls so thin that we were basically situated in the lobby. All day from 6am on the staff is just back and forth talking loud and singing. I stayed down the same street on the other side of the... More

We stumbled across Okinawa not realizing it was recommended by Lonely Planet, and were surprised to find how cheap it was. Adequate and comfortable rooms. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive, you'll be very close to the next person. Make sure you ask for the dorm if you want the cheaper option, because there are two locations for this guesthouse (just... More
