I was so happy after all the guest houses told me that they wont have any spare beds, otherwise I wouldve never stayed in the beautiful Okinawa! The staff treats you as a friend, will chew some betel nuts with you or just a beer. The atmosphere was great and I especially likes the fact that you could find rooms... More

I have been to this place twice - upon arrival in Myanmar and for the last nice before departure. They have single rooms, doubles (I think 1 triple) and a dorm room. I slept in the dorm (10$ per night breakfast included). It is good value if you think that it is literally 200 m away from Sule paya and... More

The rooms I stayed in had stained glass and a the bed was a matterise on the floor, so it made feel quirky and authentic. But then the flees from the cats devoured my legs went ever I say outside. That spoiled it of me. I enjoyed breakfast and the fun staff, but the shower/toilet rooms were another disappointment.

Overpriced, not unusual in Burma, but this was definitely a bit much for what we got. The room was stuffy and did feel clean, only cold water and not much of a breakfast. Beware of the laundry service offered. You are charged by the item and it is more expensive than in far better hotels (where your clothes come back... More

In Yangon my friend and I stayed in Motherland Inn 2 and in the Okinawa Guesthouse, We also checked out White House Hotel which was a terrible experience and from this three places, Okinawa Guesthouse was the best option! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect and the rooms are nice (dark but nice). Also, the... More

Great location, slow (but working) WiFi, and that's about it. We were two and paid $40 for a large room which accommodates three people (standard price $50), but I didn't know there is no hot water (in a $40 room!!!), the towels are not towels just a piece of textile which doesn't absorb water so even after using it you'll... We stayed for 1 night at the end of our tour round Burma. Ir was ok, they had a double room with air con available. We had to use the mozzie net provided. Showers were cold and the walls were thin. WiFi was ok for Burma. Location is good, and overall the place is ok for 1 night. Though if... More

Wooden interior, quirky layout, perfect location, nice staff, what else do you need. I stayed in the dorm, not sure about private rooms. But to all the bad reviews - if you fancy western standards and staff that put on a false smile, don't go to Myanmar. Or don't go to a guest house, book a hotel. Bathroom is basic... More

A friendly place in the very centre of Rangoon. We paid 50 $ for a spacious family room that was good for our group of four. It was clean, the staff helpful and the breakfast offered a bit more than the usual egg, toast and margarine. If you look for better value in guesthouses, don't go to Burma.

We arrived to the guesthouse after a night bus ride. The double room cost $30. No hot shower. Internet was down also. After some complaining about the price and internet not working, the front desk clerk let us leave a few hours later without paying. He was very unhelpfull, but we were glad we could leave. We found another guesthouse,... More
