Yangon is probably house to the worst value-for-money hotels in SE Asia, and Hotel Yangon tops the list of such hotels in Yangon! I paid $140 for hardly 3-star room in dire need of renovation. Breakfast was dismal and staff did not impressive me. The fact that the receptionist used a random and incredibly high exchange rate in calculating hotel... More

This hotel has seen better days but it is convenient for a short stay when flying into Yangon. The disadvantage is, that due to the heavy traffic in Yangon, it will take you about 40 mins. to get to the centre. The restaurant is fairly good but it was amusing when my wife ordered a Gin & Tonic. "We have... More

This is our first stay at the Hotel Yangon. We chose this hotel as we had to attend a function that was nearby. The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable. We stayed at the “Club Floor/Executive Lounge” and did not realised that it was a Club Floor as service from the Club Floor staff was very minimal (nearly non-existent),... More

I was forced an overnight in Yangon, Myanmar due to a flight miss connection from Bangkok to Nay Pyi Taw( Myanmar) . They Tourism office desk at the arrival terminal suggested this hotel . It was past midnight last Saturday night and hence not in the mood to check around for other hotels. I took a taxi to the hotel.... More

close to the airport, about 10 minutes normally ride. breakfast is served is not too fancy but enough for breakfast, some typical dishes of Myanmar are available. Hotel staff quite friendly. hotel building is a bit old, need renovation especially in the bedroom. Try Chinese restaurant at the 12 floor. Good view during sunset time.

Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was very clean and functional. I would suggest hotel staff to have a soap dish of some kind around the shower area to be perfect. The room I stayed has no bath but I did not feel I need it anyway. Breakfast was adequate. I have to say the... More

Stayed for 5 days 4 nights. Chose this hotel as its close to the airport. Plus their new year water festival was around the corner making it impossible to get rooms at our usual Traders Hotel. Its located on the very busy 8th mile junction with a very busy karaoke join across the street. Sliding door to the balcony was... More

When we first arrived I thought that since we were in a 3rd world country this was what is to be expected. Although after I had a chance to see some of the other hotels in the area i realized it was just the quality of the hotel. A free complimentary breakfast buffet was nice to have each morning, and... I stayed here for one night on October 31st on way to Bagan for the Bagan Temple Marathon. For the price, 200 Singapore Dollars it was absolutlely disgusting. We stayed on the 4th floor and when coming off the elevator there was a huge hole in the wall that was being worked on. Roaches under the bed, so loud and... More
