I think the Panda Hotel is the golden middle way. Reasonable price with good, but middle quality service. I spent many times there. I love the kindness of the staff and the feeling of the hotel. The quality of the restaruant is not the best, but you can trust in the food.

We stayed at the Panda Hotel for one night before and one night after our trip around Myanmar as part of our group tour, once on the 8th floor and once on the 10th floor. The rooms we had were Old-fashioned, but clean, with a good safe, small fridge and TV, and an adequate bathroom with bath/shower. We were at... More

We stayed here on several occasions during our trip to Myanmar. It was perfect for what we wanted - plenty of hot water, clean sheets, a clean room and a decent breakfast. We only slept here and did not expect luxury in Myanmar, so it was ideal for us. It is located within walking distance of the museum, the market... More

Stayed at this hotel for the second time on the night of 27th February 2015. The hotel was relatively clean and the staff were very friendly however, when we went for breakfast my impressions were changed for the worst, one of the staff behind the breakfast counter was seen rinsing out his mouth from a bottle of water and then... The best thing about this hotel is its location. From it you can walk to the Schwedagon Pagoda area and also down into the centre of Yangon. We found that the taxi fare from the city centre was $3 and from more local areas $2/2.5 so not expensive if you don't want to walk. There are a few restaurants within... More

We stayed at the Panda Hotel for 3 nights, before and after our trip around Myanmar. It was comfortable, breakfast buffet included which was also adequate, usual hot and cold dishes available. Our first 2 nights were up on the 8th floor, no view of the famed pagoda but that was fine, We didn't know how to work the airconditioner... More

We stayed at panda hotel for about 2 nights for $US90, it's nothing luxurious but if you're going to be out all day and all you need is a place to sleep - this place is good. Breakfast was included and is a buffet style, has all it's typical eggs, sausages and traditional desserts as well as congee! There are... More

We stayed here for 3 nights – in 2 different classes of room (but that was our, rather than the hotels fault). Rooms are clean, and functional. All floors have Wi-Fi but doesn’t quite reach into each room. Breakfast is a little underwhelming. Reception staff are polite, helpful and accommodating.

After spending almost a month in Myanmar our expectations of this hotel were not high, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were exceptional in every way the receptionist spoke English and always smiling, We had a room with a lounge good air con to both rooms, although the TV was in the lounge section and not in the bedroom,...
