I stayed here for a night in March 2008.
Got a really good rate of about £50 per night direct with the hotel. It isnt actually a hotel, but an apartment complex, big, comfy rooms, modern inside, nice big bathrooms, balcony, good air con (essential) and nice pool. There are alot of expats here so its a good meeting place, and the market and Strand are right opposite. The apartment was massive, kitchen, lounge, king size bed. After a few weeks in the wilds of Burma it was very welcome.
I would stay here again without a second thought. There are other places with more atmosphere, but this is slap bang where you want to be and at a great price. The restaurants in the complex are also great. There is an amazing Japanese place downstairs too.
