When I left the hotel I was determined to leave them 3 stars. The hotel is in quite inconvenient location, far away from anything, rooms could be much cleaner, staff could be friendlier. We lived on the top floor, the stairs were a nightmare. The beds were uncomfortable, the room quite small, the shower was over the toilet type. The... More

Free of charges Airport pick up and transfer time have been clearly mentioned in our own website. I do apologise for the tourist ,who arrived after the prescribed time zone . Impolite staff will be trained again and if necessary he will be movedelivered out from hotel. More

The rooms provide what you would expect for the money, at leasst in Yangon. An appropriate breafast is included. Staff is always around and helpful. Booking a bus ticket is not recommended as you pay almost the same price for a bus without A/C than others pay for a bus with A/C. However, it is also a somewhat an expierence... More

Every Hotel is overpriced in Yangon, but this is a really bad choice. The staff is really unfriendly and the room without Windows is really noisy. during the day we heard People or children running over our room, at night they were hammering, i guess they are building something on top of the Hotel. when we asked for another room... Ocean Pearl is conveniently located. The general area of the city is a bit grungy but the hotel is fairly clean but not immaculate. Very friendly and helpful staff will make flight arrangements, call taxis etc. They were excellent in this regard. Paid ~$30 night for 2 twin beds in an air conditioned room. The entire bathroom is tiled with... More

For the same room in this hotel in Bangkok you would pay less than $10. But this is not Thailand and $30 is the going rate in Yangon for a budget room. That being said, compared to others in the same budget range, and even above, the rooms are a reasonable size and clean. The bathrooms are not bad and... More

Room was pretty basic but value for money, free airport transfer was great. Free shower even we already check out ( while waiting night bus to Mandalay) and free drinking water refill at ground floor. Overall worth to stay !!!

Ocean Pearl is conveniently located, about a 15-20 minute walk to the Sule Paya. Rooms were basic, but clean with comfortable beds. Wifi worked off and on, but better than our experience elsewhere in Myanmar. The bathroom smelled a bit funky, but we did't spend that much time in there anyways. Hotel prices in Myanmar is relatively more expensive than... More

The Ocean Pearl Inn was located in downtown Yangon, it is in a good location for a stroll to see the Sule Pagoda and take a look at the old colonial buildings scattered around. The hotel had a free airport transfer service which was great as the airport is about 1 hour away from the centre and a taxi isn't... More

First, if you're travelling to Yangon on a budget, lower your expectations. By a lot. While $25 USD will get you pretty far in, say, Bangkok, particularly during the low, rainy season, it will not get you far in Yangon. I chose Ocean Pearl Inn because of the free airport transfer and central location, both of which proved quite convenient.... More

The price for hotels in Yangon is simply absurd. I would recommend that people don't even bother traveling here. The entire city is dirty and disgusting. But if you must, prepare to either A) spend a lot of money for a half way decent hotel or B) shell out 25-30 USD for a grotty dump like the Ocean Pearl. 1.... More
