We spent 4nights at the beautifully set Vila Chaumieres. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the stunning lagoon which was great for swimming or you could lounge on the sand and admire your surrounds. Staff were all fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival and throughout our stay. Tracey the manager even chauffered us... more

We have just returned from staying in the premier lagoon room view for a week. Very comfortable, spacious and light with windows 2 sides. You wake to a charming and intimate lagoon view. The large deck looks across the delightful restaurant to the lagoon in one direction and up the lagoon in the other. The other lagoon view room would... more

Travelers, passing through Port Vila and looking for a unique place to stay, should defiantly try Villa Chaumieres. The service, the location right at the lagoon and the amazing food provided through their restaurant impressed us. We felt extremely comfortable and looked after. We hope that we will be enjoying the hospitality sometime in the future again. Until then, we... more

Vila Chaumieres, restaurant is the perfect location for a wonderful dining experience. We were served by Elise who greeted us pleasantly and then was most obliging with any requests, the venue is perfect also.On arrival one walks through a gently lit garden area until you arrive at the dock side restaurant.over looking,in fact right on the Lagoon.Soft lighting and gently lapping water... more

We decided to travel to the beautiful lands of Vanuatu for our first ever holiday, and were unaware of what to expect or what we would encounter when we arrived. Whilst researching places to stay and activities, Vila Chaumieres came up on lastminute.com and I thought I would give them a call to ask some questions. Tracy (manager) was more... more

We enjoyed the best food in Vanuatu & the most romantic dinner of our honeymoon at Vila Chaumieres. Gilbert, the owner, was a wonderfully gracious host. We stayed in the cosy room right above the restaurant with a gorgeous view over the lagoon for the last night of our honeymoon. In Port Vila, there is a raft of very overpriced,... more

Let's start this review by stating that we loved Vila Chaumiere, warts and all. The property comprises a small number of 'bures' set in a lovely tropical garden on the banks of Emden Lagoon (known as second lagoon), about 4km outside Port Vila. Since Port Vila is a small, noisy, VERY 3rd world town (NB: NOT city), being 4kms out... more

We went to this restaurant on the premise the food was good, but the setting was outstanding. you get dropped off by the taxi at the end of a little path through the bushes, and at the end of the lantern lit pathway was a beautiful (small) restaurant overlooking the lagoon. The restaurant probably only seated 50 people. We booked... more

Vila Chaumieres is the most romantic of restaurants in a quiet and simply stunning location. I have been there on two different trips to Vanuatu and both times the experience was magical and memorable. Located on the edge of Erakor Lagoon the restaurant is a simple fare like structure on the very edge of the lagoon. The water is lit... more

We stayed at Vila Chaumieres for 10 days and loved every minute. It's under new management and they are working really hard to freshen up the place. The rooms are basic but roomy and there are only a handful - a huge plus. I'm not a fan of the resorts where you are just another number. Service is personal and... more
