Stayed in a 3 bedroom beachside villa. Lots of room for all of us with full kitchen, dining, lounge and main with ensuite. Great island experience especially the Tuesday Melanesian night. Good food, friendly staff, lots of stuff for the kids to do. Walking distance to town. Recommend.

We only stayed here for one night as we were flying to Tanna Island and could not make the connection through Sydney (from Adelaide) in one day. We arrived 2330 and were efficiently picked up from the airport by Melanesian tours (which has an office at Poppy's) and taken to our hotel. As reception was closed we were given a... More

Dear Carolynt23, The team at Poppys always want to make sure our guests have a wonderful experience whilst staying with us hence we are saddened to hear that you did not enjoy your morning at Poppys. The resort is situated on Erakor Lagoon which provides for some great kayaking, swimming and magnificent views especially as the sun is setting. We... More

We stayed 12 days at Poppy’s on the Lagoon in July. It was a magic break away from the both work and the cold of Dunedin. We really did enjoy the friendly staff and how well we were looked after. Good service good food and good people really made our holiday at Poppy’s Mr # 15

Paid $3000 for a lagoon side 3 bedroom chalet for 2 couples for a week. Not complaining about the price but.... No hot water, I mean the shower was a dribble. Asked day 1 for it to be fixed, not do e, Complained day 2 (friendly request), no noticeable action, day 3 still no water water, another approach to the... More

We stayed 4 nights in a studio room on the hill side. The first night we had an introductory talk from a young girl who did not seem well and was difficult to hear. Our dinner that night which we had with 2 other new couples at the restaurant was disappointing with 5 of the 6 not getting what they... More

Poppy's on the Lagoon was just what we were after. It was lovely and quiet, tidy and welcoming. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful with tips on what to do around the Island. We had a room just in front of the pool, downstairs and it was great. It was super convenient, as it was only a 15-20 minute walk... More

Located in a hillside at Erakor Lagoon. The beach, pool, reception and restaurants are all located down lagoonside. Many rooms are located up hillside with rather steep stairs up tro the rooms. People should notice this when booking if they want to avoid the climbings. There is a pool even up in this area. Wifi in reception area though slow... More

I have learnt something about advertising - close up shots of poolside areas, beach and dining areas don;t really give the true picture a place. We stayed in accommodation on the hill which has a lovely view over the lagoon. The room is pretty basic but comfortable. Breakfasts are basic, they appear to measure out exactly how much you get... We found Poppy's to be a lovely place to stay. We had a group of 8 staying in two units. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. The driveway is steep, it's a bit of a workout. Take reef shoes as the lagoon is not a beach but a reef area. If you want to swim the pools are the... More

I loved my accommodation at Poppy's. I had a beautiful studio with all the mod cons of kitchen, bathroom, bed and dining table, and a deck with a table and chairs with a view of the lagoon. Bliss! And only a short 10-15 walk to downtown Port Vila, and within walking distance of museum, parliament and supermarkets. It wasn't noisy... More
