Great location, just be prepared for the steep driveway down to the resort, which is full of potholes, and not well lit at night. Ceiling fans not enough during the hot time of the year, fine for May. beachfront not great for swimming, but good for kayaks. Swimming pools are small. Short stroll along to the Meridian hotel if you... more

After reading the reviews for Poppy's on the Lagoon I was quite excited about our stay but I have to say that I felt that the rooms were very overpriced for what they were. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow for 4 nights and the cost per night was approx USD $300 per night. For that price I would expect... more

Just back from a week at Poppy's in a Beachfront Spa Bunglow and on the whole really impressed. Location is perfect if you're looking for more than a resort experience - at just five minutes walk into Vila, you're far enough away to just relax and unwind (being lagoon side), but also close enough if you're looking to really experience... more

Just come back from a week at Poppy's and like many of the reviews on the hotel, we were very impressed with everything. We travelled with our 18 month old daughter and the two bedroom apartment was absolutely perfect. The staff, booking tours, the swimming pool, the apartment with kitchen, and cafe were exceptional. We found Poppys the perfect place... more

What an amazing place Poppys is, the lagoon view is to die for, absolutely breath taking, this is our 3rd visit to Vanuatu & our 2nd stay at Poppy's. Sunrise from Poppy's is stunning. The owners and staff are a delight so friendly and welcoming. Hayley and Natalie can not do enough to make your stay the best, even the... more

We stayed at Poppy's for 5 nights. We first had one of the studios, and got upgraded to a garden view bungalow on the last night. I found the studio apartments to be cooler than the bungalow as ours was on the top of the street and therefore more air flowed into the room. The rooms do get a little... more

It's only a 12-minute walk to town (but there's a big hill between the lagoon and the town so the hardest part is the first 5 minutes). I would not recommend the studio apartments for someone in a wheelchair or with limited mobility. There are two floors of apartments and even if you were on the ground floor, the only... more

Hayley, Albert and the team run an extremely well organised resort. Nothing is too much trouble. They have menus from all the restaurants in town and are particularly well versed on all the tours available in Vanuatu. The Island night on Tuesday night is well worth attending. We stayed in a 2bdrm apartment (2 adults & 2 children aged 10... more

This is an awesome place to stay with family. Gorgeous gardens. An adults pool and a large kids pool. The staff at Poppy's are lovely and helpful. The lagoon and kayaks are a great source of entertainment for bigger kids. We went in January and it was really hot and humid so the pools where a pleasant place to relax... more
