I had stayed at Jabsina in 2014 and decided that it was even more important to ni Vanuatu to assist their economy to stay locally on my short 2015 visit. The accommodation was clean and tidy and no others staying there, so I had the place to myself - there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, so would be plenty... More

Very good location, it's close to the city but still in the village and the nature. Nice clean rooms and a well equipped kitchen. Nice garden with fruit trees. Wonderful family with the most adorable children! They are very friendly and if the guest prefer it, they are willing to socialize, they even invited us for local dinner several times.... More

I have had several visits to Vanuatu, mainly on family holidays - this visit was for business, - a female travelling alone. I wanted to stay somewhere that was safe & secure but inexpensive and preferably one that would support ni-Vanuatu. I had heard of Jabsina, through ni-Vanuatu horticulture workers in NZ. I have stayed in numerous ni-Vanuatu bungalows all... More

My experience included the following factors: - - - - - Massively infested with large cockroaches (over 130 counted!) Something running in the ceilings... rats? Mouldy, filthy kitchen with falling-off cupboard doors Fridge that regularly delivers electric shocks when touching it Kitchen tap that randomly turns on and makes a loud shuddering noise until turned off A selection of leaking... For us, this was an outstanding holiday which we will remember forever. We wanted to experience life in Vanuatu as authentically as possible and our stay at Jabsina Guesthouse (in Ian and Rebecca's house) surpassed our expectations. Having said that, we did not expect luxury, technology or high end Western living standards. If we were hoping for that kind of... More

We 2 mums ran away from our husbands and children and spent 2 weeks on our tropical island. Of that time we spend 7 nights at Jasbina Lodge in Pango Village. It is a very basic little house, there is no running hot water and the kitchen is far from 'House and Garden' standard. But or $20 a night it... More

We were booked into Jabsinas for 2 nights late July.I had arranged this with the owner Alick months previously and he had emailed us back saying he would pick us up from another establishment in Villa and take us to the guesthouse.Expecting a pickup but not sure what time we tried calling ,only to find the number not connected.Luckily we... My husband and I stayed here with our 1 yo daughter for 4 nights over the Christmas holidays. As joannekAustralia wrote, the guesthouse is quite basic, but the locals are very friendly and you get to see a side of Vanuatu life you would never experience staying in a resort. Also really good for surfing. Alick the owner was very... More

I stayed at Jabsina guest house for 6 weeks although I only intended to stay 10 days with a friend's family. The guest house is basic but clean and in a fantastic location at Pango Point a 2 minute walk from the best surf on the island (best in the southern summer). There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a... More
