This is my second time staying at Tamanu on the Beach, and it has once again delivered its magic. The place is so serene you cant help but unwind your life stresses away. What better way to start the day then by swimming in the clear blue coral pool followed by a lazy day in the deck chairs or hammocks.... More

Tamanu on the beach is one of the loveliest resort experiences I’ve had. If you’re after seclusion in a beautiful environment, exceptional service, pampering and delicious food than this is the place for you. I love that there are only have 6 cottages because you really do feel like you’ve escaped civilization. I recommend starting at Tamanu if you’re going... More

We had the most wonderful experience in Oct 2013 of taking our family of six on a P&O South Pacific cruise and getting married at Tamanu on the Beach. The entire event was organised via email with Virginia, she thought of every detail and everything that was organised exceeded our expectations in every way. Following the ceremony we had an... More

Firstly let me say from the beginning that Tamanu on the beach is not for everyone. If you like lots of people around, noisy children, loud night life, TV, close to everything, and lots to entertain you, then don't book this place. BUT if you are looking for a place where you can reconnect with yourself and your loved one,... More

When we decided to holiday in Vanuatu we were strongly recommended to stay at Tamanu on the Beach. The recommendation was so good that we actually changed our travel dates to dates when Tamanu had availability. We wanted a holiday with lovely accommodation and few people around, with nice food and swimming. We found all of the above at Tamanu.... More

Hardly sounds exciting but if excitement is what you want don't stay here. If you want peace and quiet in a heavenly romantic setting with sometimes world class food attentive service and assistance from staff and management this is the place for you. Away from a not so nice Port Villa you could be anywhere in the Pacific. Rent a... More

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at Tamanu on the Beach. From the moment we arrived till the end of our stay we thoroughly enjoyed it. Virginia and her team go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The bungalows are spacious and clean, the kingside bed very comfortable. So wonderful to go to... More

Our 3 days at Tamanu on the Beach were disappointing. To begin with, it is a long way from everywhere, and it's extremely expensive to get to and from, especially if you arrange trips through the resort, which they encourage you to do but the cost is at least doubled. The resort accommodation is attractive bungalows, with absolutely delightful outdoor... More

Tamanu, Owner at Tamanu on the Beach, responded to this review

We are disappointed that your stay did not meet your expectations. However I feel compelled to respond to your comments. In regards to your allegation that the resort charges double the cost of transfers, this is incorrect. As Vanuatu is a developing country there is no legislation in regards to transfer charges. Taxis are renown for charging high rates whilst... More
