We stayed here for four nights and negotiated a discount over the phone with Paki Orbassano the manager. Our room was above the Reception with a view of the harbour, the room was very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom and toiletries (they even had a hairdryer!!), tea and coffee and a fridge with two bottles of cold... We stayed here for a week and had Room 7; like "lovayager" says, it does have an obstructed view. Go for rooms 1 & 3 first then 5 and lastly number 7. It isn't a swimming beach across the road. it is basically a marina and harbour. The room is very good, cleaned daily; the bed is firm but very... More

I stayed two nights in July in the hotel. I had booked a waterfront room paying some additional money for the preferred room. But the balcony did not exactly enjoy waterfront view as the view was obstructed by trees. I suggest avoid room no. 7 if you wish to enjoy water views. I was also not lucky enough to get... More

We were in the infamous 2am virgin flight from SYD and even though the check out was supposed to be at 10am we were so knackered that we asked if we could have a late check out, we were ready to pay for it, but they gladly let us stay for free until our ride came to pick us up... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Paki, Tala and Leno who helped us with our plane flights to Vavau. The rooms are large, very clean with an ensuite, however the walls are a bit thin. The food at the restaurant is terrific with an Italian theme. The night we dined the Crown Prince of Tonga also dined there. The hotel... More

I spent 7 nights at the Waterfront Hotel and it exceeded my expectations. The people were friendly and very helpful in whatever you need. I stayed in a twin room with a family member and the room was spacious for the both of us to relax from the hot days and to cool down in the very nice balcony's during... More

Have stayed at the Waterfront a couple of times when in Tonga and never been disappointed. The rooms are very well appointed and the shower is great (something you really appreciate in Tonga). Added to this is one of the best restaurants on the island is downstairs for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Lovely hotel with everything you need and the bonus of a wonderful restaurant downstairs. Large rooms, tasteful decor, comfy bed. Loved the oversized shower - could fit a whole family in there! All very clean. Housekeeping staff take their job seriously! Staff were friendly and helpful. The included continental breakfast was ample and the verandah where this was served was... More
