Apart from the broken safe and the lonely bird in a cage that screeched all day in frustration the hotel met it's purpose of being an easy stay before my domestic flight. The tongan staff were lovely and the breakfast nice

The rooms are nice and clean but the water pressure in the shower is low, the walls are paper thin (you can hear the neighbours snoring) and the service arrogant. The street outside is very noisy! The Seaview Lodge or Little Italy are a better choice.

Returning to Tonga after 15 months when we stay here, there was no question where we would stay on this trip. The Waterfront Lodge is a wonderfully relaxed place to stay and we are SO pleased that we chose this lovely boutique hotel again. We had a quite busy schedule (people visiting, local phone calls, messages left, extra glasses/plates needed... More

It was a great stay. They have comfy beds. The breakfast was good. Good location for harbour and not so far from center, but better to take A taxi. A bit tricky with keys, only one cardkey and A door to Get inside hallway. Some noise from buildingsite next door.

There are too few moderately priced hotels in Nuku'alofa, Tonga. The choices for lodging are either a hotel with high rates and comfortable such as the Waterfront Lodge or very low rates in uncomfortable & unsanitary accommodations. The Waterfront is a boutique hotel with nicely appointed rooms. It has a water view and is near several restaurants and bars. There... More

The Waterfront is the best accommodation in Nuku'alofa. A small guesthouse of 8 rooms, set in a tropical garden,& beautifully maintained & clean. It is 2-3 kms out of the main city area, so the late night crowds/ nightclubs can only be heard at a distance. The staff were friendly, courteous & professional. No request was a problem. The restaurant had the... More

By no means an hotel, lodge is the right description. Its rather like a good motel in Australia with about 10 rooms upstairs and a dining room and reception down. Quail with outside stairs that are very challenging with a heavy case but the good part is there seems always to be a friendly staff member who will offer to... More

My husband and I arrived late in the evening at the Waterfront Lodge. The colourful "lit up" trees in the windows were very inviting and looked pretty as we arrived, making us feel as "where're here now" We were greeted by Tulla who then showed us to our room and explained how everything worked, a great welcome! The apartments were... More

This is a very nice Lodge. The staff in the reception and restaurant are a joy. They really care about their customers and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are comfortable and airy. There are some lovely Gaugin prints on the wall which helps provide a special atmosphere. The continental breakfast is more than ample. Evening meals... More

We enjoyed one night at the Waterfront lodge before heading out to Ha'apai. The rooms are beautifully furnished with Gauguin prints and the view from the balcony looks over the port to the sea. It can be a hive of activity and we were warned often noisy in the evenings but we had no trouble. If you are prepared for... More
