Beware the nice photos and talk of a pretty lagoon (read mossie infested hell hole!) This was the worst experience we have had to endure. I recently stayed at the Lagoon Lodge and had a spectacular time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I went to Tonga by myself and as a single woman from Sydney, I felt very safe. We hate this place! From the brochure and name we were picturing accomodation on a beautiful lagoon. The lagoon is a murky mosquito breeding pond, certainly not for swimming.
