Once the decision to take a break from a particularly horrendous round of Solo-style power outages was made, we scoured around on a late Saturday afternoon and were offered a great price on an overnight queen room with two single beds thrown in....aircon, hot showers, TV, bliss. The staff were helpful and even threw in chocolates for the kids, who... More

Our first visit to Honiara. If you haven't been to the Solomon Islands, then get ready for a culture shock. Checkin was simple and quick, the room clean and bed very comfortable. The absence of insect screens is regrettable as the weather at this time of year is so pleasant it would have been nice to enjoy fresh air minus... More

Nice place with some wide spaces. Rooms are comfortable. Depending on which room you are allotted will depend on the type of balcony. Each block is 3 storey with 4 units on each floor. The end balconies are spacious and airy, the middle ones are cramped and dark. Rooms are provided with tea and coffee and a mini bar. Mini... More

Love sitting close to the ocean and having a few drinks, so the location is beautiful but service not always up to scratch. Food also hit and miss. Can definitely ban 'beetle nut chewers' - spitting don't necessarily work up an appetite. Loved watching cricket World Cup, how about Super 15 games by the poolside. Very expensive.

I travel 100-110 days per year for business and pleasure and have done fly fishing in Fiji, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Thailand on top of fresh water fly fishing all around the world. I travelled to Solomon Islands for fly fishing and Heritage hotel was just a short stop for me on my way home.. I stayed in this hotel only... More

There are two great places to stay in Honiara, this and Kitano. Both are central and within a hundred meters of each other. The Heritage is the more expensive of the two and it shows in the modern facilities, gym and pool area. This is where most expats and visiting business folks stay because it’s the pick of the lot.... The first impressions of this hotel were really good. The hotel driver that picked us up from the airport was friendly and welcoming. Check in process was quick and easy, front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. My first room impressions were not so great, it was very basic, shower hot water system hardly worked even when... More

If you looking for a place to get away from it all while in Honiara you should stop by the Heritage. The staff are very friendly and attentive , probably the best you find anywhere in Solomons and food and drink is quality with reasonable prices. There is a pool area out back overlooking the water with a bar which... More

My husband and I visited Honiara to dive and visit the World War 2 history. Heritage Park was a gem among the other hotels in the city. We originally booked our stay at the Solomon Kitano Hotel and had to escape. When we went to Heritage for dinner we promptly checked out. The facilities are updated and very clean. Staff... More

Please note : I did not stay at this Hotel but did partake of an" a la carte" meal in their Restaurant. A lovely cool restaurant with a nice table and beautiful crisp white serviette. The entrée was a very pleasant smoked salmon salad.Just a classic dish. The main meal was simple fish and chips. NOT GOOD. A small weak... More

Dear Richard, Thank you for your feedback. We regret very much the fact the main course served to you lacked a 'personal touch' . We have subsequently had a talk with the chefs concerned and are hopeful the problem has been remedied. If you are a frequent visitor to Honiara I welcome you to visit any of our restaurants again...
