First, this hotel is on a steep hillside and everything is extremely vertical. Those not up to long hikes up series of steep stairs should stay somewhere else. Second, the advertised "high speed internet" is so low speed no one can connect at all, not even using prepaid cards sold by the government. Third, beaches within "walking distance" are indeed... I traveled with two friends to Palau and we got a great package deal for the room from Fish 'n Fins dive shop. We loved this place! We had a 2nd floor room at the very top of the hill and the view from the balcony was a gorgeous sight to wake up to every morning! (there are a couple... More

Spent 8 nights here, in a functional, but basic room. The hotel is on a steep hill and as such this is not a good choice for anyone challenged to climb many stairs. Room was clean, with AC, small fridge, TV, ceiling fan, nice patio that had a great view of the lagoon. Fairly quiet at night. Breakfast is included... More

Simple, but comfortable accomodations with good amenities. The view is spectacular and so nice that there's a decent sized balcony to enjoy it. The location is out of the way, but if you're there for diving, the dive shops will pick you up and drop you off every day, and for $6 a trip, the hotel will run you into... More

We paid $250/ngt. for a room #11. There was a language barrier. More stairs to climb than I care to mention. I think you can do better in Palau. We had a dead (at least it was dead) crusty roach in the room. You'd think someone would sweep. There was no hot water in the bathroom except in the shower... More

The Rose Garden offers hardwood bungalows with air-conditioning and hot water. The place is surrounded by flowers and set on the side of a hill over looking the creek and Koror. It's a bit far away from the town and the port area where the dive shops are located however Sam's Diving offered free transport to and from the dive... More

We were in Palau for 2 weeks (diving with Sam's) and stayed at Rose Garden for one week, Sea Passion for 5 days and West Plaza (Malakal) for 2 days. Eventhough Sea Passion has pool and beach and everything, we enjoyed our stay at Rose Garden much more. Rose Garden was very quiet, the food was good and the service... More

I travelled alone to Palau to go diving. I had a great time diving with Fish-n-Fins. They gave me a good deal on the Rose Garden Resort. For a person on a tight budget it was a good home base for a few days of diving and exploring. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful (watching the guy... More

We did not stay, just visited for a snack and drink in the afternoon. Staff seemed very grumpy when we were there. We had trouble with their free Internet, it was too slow to load anything so we gave up with that. It's Palau so that was ok, we just did not feel welcome so would not go back to... More

My partner and I stayed here for 2 weeks in Nov 2011. The place was quiet (which we loved), the rooms were a bit too dark to read in, but otherwise they were clean, roomy and the a/c was excellent. The balcony was really nice too. I am a non diver and because this resort is about roughly 10 mins... More
