Stayed at Carp on our last night of 8 day kayak trip. The bed was a teeny tiny bit more comfortable than the mat I'd slept on for a week, but that was only because we stacked both of the queen-sized "mattresses" on one platform bed. The mattresses are really just 3 inch foam. Sheets are pill-y and scratchy, pillows... More

We were a group of 7 divers, mixed man and ladies. The most of the crew is realy nice and they do their best. But the diving is very commercial! Forget advanced dives, forget about diving with sharks on Peleliu. Beware Tina the boss - she is smiling but very commercial. You will have hard time to argue about locations... More

My boyfriend and I planned to stay 3 nights, but we left after 1 night. Out of the 5 places we stayed in Palau, this was our least favorite. We stayed in a Sunrise cottage. Some pros, but far more cons... Pros: - Carp Island is beautiful and has many nice beaches - The dive shop is great, and our... More

We spent one week on Carp Island as part of our three-week trip to Palau. We caught the boat to Carp at the dock in Koror where we also purchased our $100.00 dive permit and tour of Jellyfish Lake. Our bags were packed on the boat and we set off for the 45 minute ride across calm seas through the... More

I lived in the diver house, not super attractive if you talk about what's in the room (basically, a bed with mattress, an electric fan, no pillow, no blanket). Having said that, i actually liked it because it is a special feeling and that simplicity actually attracts me a lot. Sometimes all we need is really not that much, but... More

First of all, this resort is all about diving. If you do not plan to dive with them, you should not spend more than a couple of nights on the island, since there are not many possible activities, except for kayaking and a short trekking across the island. The accomodation is basic, but clean and with all the basic requirements.... More

Stayed in sunrise bungalow. The bungalow was basic but absolutely fitted our needs, beds were comfortable and spacious. The bungalow has no A/C but two fans (one fixed in the ceiling and the second one portable) made the nights acceptable, otherwise it was very hot inside so we kept all windows and doors open...as there are mosquito nets in the... If you are hoping for pristine beaches and beautiful island settings for your stay in Palau then Carp Island may be your best bet. It is hard to find beach resorts in Palau because the geography of the islands is such that beaches are scarce however Carp Island is the one resort that offers the kind of relaxed environment that... Why I Love Carp island Resort/Palau Dive Center by Kolea Schonwalter Remember your grade school composition assignment? The title of this review expresses the child-like joy I felt during my weekend at Carp Island Resort, Palau. Located on a Rock Island shaped like a sea star, the soft cushiony grass by the seaside cottages make even slippers unnecessary. The ease... More

We stayed in seaview bungalow. Very basic with hard beds and only one small fan. We slept with open doors all night, as it was so hot. Bring your own mosquito nets! Our neighbours did not have any and could not sleep very well due to bugs and mosquitoes. Breakfast not very good, mostly cold, even the eggs. Lunch (also... More
