Go to Carolines for the view and use of PPR facilities but you will have to put up with a hotel that needs updating badly. The second bed we asked for was a lumpy old sofa bed which made sleep difficult. Sheets, pillows, drapes were very old, badly faded and I would thrown them out years ago. Shower curtain needed... This is a tough review. Our balcony looking down upon the beautiful ocean in the morning with roosters crowing watching the day begin is pretty special here at Carolines. The greeting at arrival was warm and genuine. Quite simply you get a view and a taste of nature, but here comes the hard part: it comes with a sacrifice, so... More

We had a quaint little cottage with a great ocean view, this was especially nice to enjoy when having a yummy breakfast from the balcony. Cottage was old but clean and spacious. All staff at Caroline's were very very friendly and made us feel really special. Included airport pickups which was nice. We would stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It's not the most luxurious resort but we really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful. The rooms have a lovely view from the balcony and breakfast is served at a time you select and you can eat taking in the view. Only downside is that there were some... More

I looked at this place versus the Palau Pacific and feel I made a great choice! The place was empty so I was given the best room #7. It was a climb but I didn't mind the daily exercise. The view was fantastic! Both sunrise and sunset were stunning, complete with rainbows. Breakfast on the balcony every morning was perfect.... More

It is very hard to rate any place on this island, first you need to benchmark it with what is available and what your choice is when it comes to accommodation. We wanted very simple accommodation (only 8 bungalows), close to nature (we were in a jungle, on top of a hill overseeing the bay) quite and close to places... More

It was the rainy season, so there were only one or two bungalows occupied at any one time. It rained (sometimes heavily) but not all day/ (sun shines at least some part of the day, even if it's a downpour) When it rained you could see the rain passing through the valley and bay/ocean in the back. For me the... More

We stayed two night here. It was great. It is cozy. The view is awesome. With only 8 cottages it is exclusive. It is a very personalized experience. All rates are fair for where it is. You do not feel nickled and dimed. The staff is very helpful and friendly. While we were there we could see the work going... More

We stayed in Caroline Resort during Easter break 2013 for 7 nights (dived for 5 days with FIsh n Fin). Have got to say, this is the best holiday I've been so far. Caroline resort is without doubt, one of the best resort to stay in Palau. It has best of both world - you have privacy of your own... More

you arrive at Carolines and your heart sinks. The access to the hotel is difficult (to say the least) and the reception area looks sad. However, the huts are great. Clean, good breakfast, good TV, air condition that works etc. Yes yes, I agree with most people here that say that value for money is poor. You pay lots and... More
