It was the busiest time for the island with the centennial. Guests were invited to join celebrations. Staff would chat, the pool bar was staffed in afternoons and evenings as long as people were there. We saw a late mother and calf passing through. We had 2 toddlers, as long as you're vigilant on stairs down to the pool all... More

We'd been recommended Dolphin Restaurant as a place to have lunch. Sadly it didn't live up to expectations. I find it incredible that an island surrounded by deep, plentiful waters struggles to get a good supply of quality fresh fish. My fish and chips lunch was a real let down. The fish was tough and dry (I did wonder if... More

We stayed in the rooms in the main resort site (there are also cheaper cabins in another site down the road). Beautiful views from the rooms, and good facilities. The resort is by far the most expensive place to stay on the island, but it is a very good site, and well maintained. The hotel restaurant was acceptable, though not... More

This resort, set on the cliff side was and is totally wonderful. Nestled in palm trees and native gardens, the resort is a true Island experience. Our bags where taken to our ocean view rooms, we where greeted by a HUGE Xmas feast on arrival, 25th December 2015. Our rooms, 4 in total where very clean spacious and well appointed.... More

We stayed here as a small group in November and it was all I expected and more! The facilities are fantastic, the outlook gorgeous, the staff absolutely wonderful! They were so friendly and helpful the entire time. Can't wait to go back again next year! Meitaki Maata Matavai and Niue!

Enjoyed our stay with the rooms being bigger than we had expected & appeared to have been recently renovated but maybe not, just nice rooms. Great view of the resort, pool & ocean and views of the fish coming in over the coral. Enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the ocean. Had fun around the island, swimming, snorkeling & enjoying the restaurants... More

The Scenic Matavai Resort met all of our expectations. The resort is well run, well kept and clean. If one wants to totally relax this is the place. Our cliff top room was everything we wanted. Overlooking the ocean there was an area we could enjoy on the outside on comfortable chairs. The food was very good and prepared well.... More

We stayed at Matavai for 7 nights and had a great time, the rooms are lovely and spacious and in great condition. For a small island Niue has alot to offer, the snorkeling was fantastic as were the caves and chasms. Seeing the hump back whales was a real highlight, Only disappointment was having to pay $6 for a coconut,... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for the time to provide us with feedback. Your feedback is important to us. Appreciate the comments about the rooms and it made it even more special with the increased number of whales this season. The price of coconuts in Niue are more expensive than most other Islands. Although it may look abundant we struggle to... More

What an amazing location, Niue is a well kept secret, its basically a jagged volcanic rock with sea tracks that require dexterity and perserverance but they reward the adventurer with amazing visual feasts. We had an apartment right near the reef, with the waves pounding 24/7 and dolphins providing shows and clicking into the night. Excellent spot for r &... More

Fakaalofa lahi atu, Thank you for choosing Scenic Apartments its a very quiet and private place. You drift into a good rest with the sound of the waves. The perfect location for those who want to get away from it all just the ocean and a good break. We hope you choose Scenic Apartments once again Kia monuina Simon Jackson More
