Great Hotel located just off the Bay. Lovely cozy clean rooms with larger-than-king sized bed, glass-walled bathroom, kitchenette with utensils (except cutting knife !!) but we ate out every day, free LAN-internet, cozy balcony with view of the street. Breakfast is pricey and spread is very limited. There is a Grocery store nearby, we had homemade tuna/sardines sandwiches on the... more

After a lot of web-searching we decided on LeLagon for its price, its facilities and location. A 9-night deal cost us A$170 a night. Transfers to/from the airport were extra. The suite was two rooms: a king-sized bed and separate step-in bath/shower and toilet, and a lounge/kitchen. Both rooms were fully equipped including free non-WiFi internet, clock-radio, plasma TV and... more

No problem communicating with the friendly staff at La Lagon Hotel & handy to buses for trips into Noumea. Also visiting local attractions and eating out. Hotel suite we had was lovely and clean and serviced daily We also had a buffet break-fast each morning included in our deal which was lovely. Thank-you so much to the staff for your... more

We spent a week in January at Le Lagon - chosen for it's location, good value & accomodation - it did not disappoint at all. Great location - easy walk to beaches, grocery stores, restaurants, bus stops The room ( one bedroom apartment) was just right for family of 3 ( two teenagers) - basic kitchen was fine for lunches... more

We found that this hotel had adequate facilities for a reasonable price. We stayed in a room which had a Kitchen, so we were also able to save some money as we could cook our own food. The rooms were cleaned daily, which was very good. The rooms had cable T.V from Europe and very good airconditioning, which was greatly... more

Checked into hotel paying for two (2) nights accommodation. Room was clean but reeked of rotten fish. Early next morning, 0730, notified reception but would not change rooms so checked out and requested refund for one (1) night's accommodation which was refused. Lodged complaint at 0830 same morning with: Office du Tourisme de Nouméa et de la Province Sud 14... more

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Le Lagon in Sept and found it OK. Staff were generally friendly but not all that helpful. We had to fix a broken hotplate ourselves - the handiman didn't have a clue! The rooms are tired but spacious. Don't expect everything to be clean or work - just accept that the hotel provides... more

We stayed at Le Lagon in Nouméa for 7 nights in June/July 2006 while on holiday in New Caledonia. Located two minutes walk from the Anse Vata beach, you won't get a more ideal location than this, for for an equally low price. Furthermore, the even more pleasant beach at Baie des Citrons is only 15 minutes away by foot,... more

I stayed for 5 nights at the Lagon in a studio apartment and I really enjoyed my time there! My room was at a corner of the building, so I had a nice breezy balcony and a nice view of the Coral Sea. Why the Lagon is a great place to stay at... 1) This is one of the few... more
