This place does have some positives: free wifi is one, although it's fairly slow. It's a fairly quiet location which, if you have your own car, can be quite an advantage. The aircon works well. On the negatives: it's a long way from restaurants and most of the shops, although the minibus service is cheap and fairly efficient. But dinner... More

I stayed at Lagoon Breeze in March 2008 and again in June 2014. They booked a hire car and it met me at the airport. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout. My room had a good air conditioner and a largish desk ample for working. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The shower was fine (lukewarm,... More

Upon my arrival staff organized a hire car for me after picking me up from the airport. I found Lagoon Breeze Lodge to be very comfortable and relaxing and the staff very friendly. My room had air conditioning, small kitchen, cooking utensils , fridge, a good size bathroom and shower. Comfortable double bed and plenty of shelves and hanging space... More

Lagoon Breeze is a modest hotel that is consistently clean and aims to please its guests. The rooms (each with own shower and toilet) are furnished with all the basic needs - comfortable bed, table and chair for working at, small fridge, drawers and mirror. There is a shared downstairs kitchen with 24/7 tea and coffee facilities and stove, pots... More

Accommodation in Kiribati is never quite what you expect and Lagoon Breeze has its quirks too. For example the shower in the upstairs room I was in originally didn't really produce enough flow to shower under so I showered with a bucket. Another night in a downstairs room with generally better pressure there was just no water at all one... More

My favourite place to stay in Tarawa, and I have stayed at a few. It is not a hotel, but a friendly family run guesthouse. Rooms are beautifully clean and well equipped - desk, clothes rack, drying rack and even a swing seat on my balcony! Best part is that the hosts do their best to make your stay comfortable... More

Over the past year a number of small improvements have been made - the front reception is staffed if you need assistance, continental breakfasts offered everyday (larger, cooked breakfast on Sundays) and if ordered the day before, hearty dinners are available (ask for the roast chicken which comes with roast potatoes and fresh vegetables in season, delicious!) Clean towels were... More

I lived at Lagoon Breeze Lodge for six months and I had a great experience. I initially considered renting a home from a landlord given the long-term appointment I was filing, however after arriving and spending a few days at LBL I decided that it would be a good fit for the entire duration. I stayed in the full-two-storey-house and... More

We had a great stay here! Friendly staff and management. Well equiped kitchen, always cleaned by girls if guests leave in a mess. Rooms cleaned regularly. Aircon and fridge in rooms. Small number of rooms, so only a few guests around, great dining area and patio area for relaxing on lounge suite or on swing seats. Set back from the... More

After I arrived in Tarawa on Thursday 18/08/11 at the Broniki International Airport from Nadi at approx 08:15am & after going through customs I was greeted by the transfer staff for the LAGOON BREEZE LODGE, after approx 15min's drive to the Lodge & on my arrival I felt that the place looked like the grounds needed a good tidy-up. The... More
